Temple adjusted their defense at halftime. Our dimwitted OC didn't adjust our offense. Game, set, match. Out coached again. This one still falls on GDL.

How about when Temple kept getting to our QB....ever hear of a middle screen you moron.

By the way. Did anyone notice the Temple coaches jumping all over the field? If ours did that we'd have broken hips everywhere.

A lot of blame to go around today, but PP is the captain of the ship. And it's not like we were playing Louisville. We lost to a MAC team (all their players were MAC recruits) at home.

I love this sentiment, we are a MAC level team and not even one that would challenge for that conference title. Why are people surprised by today? How has this been different from all year. Good (not great) D, one of the worst Os in the nation. Coaching? Forget it. Specials were surprising today I admit.

We're MAC level because the coaches saw to it. This is not some kind accident.

I would love to ask for the head coach's head after this.....f#$king debacle. But the bottom line is you cannot miss FOUR field goals in a game and expect to win. You miss one? Bad luck. You miss two? Bad day. You miss FOUR???? Get your scholarship revoked and see if we can apply for a fifth year for Teggart.....God help me.....

I only remember 1 of those field goals being blocked. I've also commented (maybe it was on another thread) that I cannot believe that we still can't establish the run, so I have laid plenty on the OLine this year and this game. But he has to make one of those kicks. Period. This is the equivalent of a QB throwing 4 picks. One pick, you can understand. Two, okay, it's a bad day. But if our QB threw 4 picks today, everybody on this forum would be all over the kid like white on rice. So why isn't it the same for the kicker again??

The coaches are responsible for what they put on the field. Not a new phenomenon.

WTF does that mean? A different coach would have this team at 6 or 7 wins. Or whatever you think it should be? You're dreaming. The team doesn't have the talent to do that no matter the coach or scheme.

Who do you think works with the players all week? A different set of coaches lol.

These guys are responsible for every success or failure. It's that simple.

You still don't get it. Buddy. These coaches cooked the chicken . They get to eat it. It's 100% on them.

And please don't tell me they are doing everything they can with what they have. I swear we ran the ball 40 times in the second half. They don't even learn. Buddy.

Griffin/Phillips/Smith/Davis are all pretty good. We could have Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson out there and they would not have success with this playcalling.

I don't know Scooby, but even a could see that the passing game was the ticket when our QB had oh, like 150 yards passing in the 1st quarter alone.

But not dummy Deleone, who has never had even a top 70 offense in his entire career.

How do you them apples buddy? Maybe you should go munch on chicken sandwich with P and D and try to find a clue.

Griffin/phillips/smith and davis were all used in the first quarter and looked great, then Deleone came back from the bathroom and it went down hill.

We would still hand the ball off 40 times in the second half trying to nurse a one score lead.

This sequence is a great example of the wildcat killing momentum. That's on GDL.

1st-10, CONN33 1:45 M. DeLorenzo rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain
2nd-9, CONN34 1:19 C. Whitmer passed to S. Phillips to the right for 10 yard gain
1st-10, CONN44 0:49 C. Whitmer incomplete pass to the left
2nd-10, CONN44 0:25 C. Whitmer rushed up the middle for 3 yard loss

4th Quarter

Connecticut continued
3rd-13, CONN41 15:00 C. Whitmer passed to S. Phillips to the left for 17 yard gain
1st-10, TEM42 15:00 C. Whitmer incomplete pass to the left
2nd-10, TEM42 14:47 C. Whitmer passed to J. Delahunt to the left for 14 yard gain
1st-10, TEM28 14:31 M. DeLorenzo rushed to the left for 7 yard gain
2nd-3, TEM21 13:55 S. McCummings rushed up the middle for 3 yard loss
3rd-6, TEM24 13:40 C. Whitmer incomplete pass down the middle
4th-6, TEM24 13:10 C. Christen missed a 42-yard field goal

Exactly. We might have Gronkowski Jr. sitting here unused past the first quarter in Griffin. They are the same size, and Griffin averages 18 yards a catch. 25% of his catches are for TDs. As far as statistical averages go, Griffin is a better college TE than Gronkowski was. Unfortunately, Griffin is stuck in an inept offense.

Actually, that's absolutely wrong. Our second half breakdown of run to pass plays was 13 to 19. In other words, we threw the ball six times more in the second half!

If you want to say that the series of plays prior to their last touchdown was five rushes in a row in order to kill the clock, you would be correct. But let's not forget that the drive was killed not by the rushing, but by a BLOCKED FIELD GOAL!! So if we are going to bash them, let's at least be accurate as to what we are bashing them for...

If only games were one quarter long. You ignore the fact that there's another coaching staff that makes adjustments. Look I am not a P or D supporter but it gets tiring to read post after post about how a different oaching staff would make this team appreciably better. I don't see the overall talent especially on O to show me that this team is a conference challenger. I predicted 6 wins at the start of the season largely because of the unknowns on O. I can agree that this staff is too quick to sit on a lead but I think they have no confidence in or QB not throwing it to the other team to let them open it up all game.

Good point. Of course it makes perfect sense to settle for long field goal when your kicker has been having such a great week.

Know your players.

Know your players??? Couldn't the same be said about a QB who has thrown for double-digit INT's this year and taking the game out of his hands to try to go up by two scores late in the 4th??? Isn't that "knowing your players"???

It is what it is. I'll forgive Chad; he's just a young man who had a ridiculously bad day. One that I'm sure he'll never forget. But it's just not fair to say that PP is responsible for this one. He's responsible for a lot of other things, but not for the loss today...

How many TDs did Whitmer throw today? how many INTs?

Christen is a good player, but today they asked too much of him. Do we seriously not have one other player who can kick a 27 yarder?

The head coach is responsible for every success or failure. He signed up for this, it is what it is.
