Field is in GREAT Condition for Gametime

What is this about? I was commenting with respect to LSU and USC, not Michigan. Michigan, by the way, if it still had grass, would have cool season grasses (fine fescues, ryes and bluegrass) as we do. In the south, those grasses cannot take the heat, and they use zoysia, bermuda and others (which can't tolerate the cold).

LSU (per Wikipedia) uses Celebration Bermuda grass. The Rent has Kentucky Bluegrass. Those grasses will behave very differently, and it's entirely likely that the bluegrass is much more sensitive to the effects of the paint in depriving it of light. Plus, if it gets cool, that Bermuda is going to turn brown fast, unlike Bluegrass, which is greener in spring or fall and browns in the summer and winter.

Your replied to the Michigan comment. I assumed you were lumping them in with "ours."

Ok. But was ignoring the Michigan part, just responding to the climate point. It seems that when it cools, the Bermuda needs to be painted, even the green part, or it will just look brown.

I'm going to have to agree to disagree here. Just looked at them both side by side and it just looks like the original picture has the old logo with ads on the new scoreboard. Not really sure what your seeing here. Compare all three pictures and tell me which two look most alike.

Did you go back and look at the pic released by UConn that has a big screen and no ads? That's the new one.

I really didn't mean anything by it. I quoted IMind's post first, but at the risk of piling on, your post seemed to be a logical home for my clarification.

1. It doesn't matter, the new video board is up.
2. Sportsart is correct. The original picture is the new board with the old logo. If you look closely, the old video board and ads were framed with material matching the supporting superstructure. It looks like sort of a faded blue/gray color. In the first picture, The video board is displaying faux superstructure framing. You can tell because the framing is a darker blue than the superstructure color on top of the video board.

Our screen is bigger...

They just put this bad boy in on the opposite side last year...

I'm going to have to disagree with you. I'm pretty sure that is the new scoreboard, just with the old mascot on it. If you zoom in on the picture, it looks like the ads are from a video board. Also, if you look at the picture below, the background used to be one color, but the picture posted earlier, the background of where the screen would be compared to the background of the scoreboard are two different colors. Why they used the old husky is something I do not have an answer for.

If you sent this picture to Joe D and he said it was the new one, he's on crack. It's the UConn vs Cincy game right on the board.

Someone help me out here. I'm begging you.

1. I was right not Sportsart.
2. Sorry, but I am very stubborn.
3. The new video board is up, and has been this whole time.

Sorry, forgot to add the first tweet. Are you satisfied now?

I'm with you- i don't honestly think you can look at all the evidence that its a game from last season and not understand its clearly wayyyy smaller than our new board

This is the video board you said was the new one. The one you sent to Joe D is not this one....yeesh....over and out. Enjoy the game.

You need to reread the first page of this thread, I think you got lost. You said the OP was the old scoreboard, which in fact was the new scoreboard. I used that picture of the old scoreboard to show you that the OP had the new scoreboard. ugh... I give up.

What are we talking about here? This conversation is a blessing in the skies!

Original OP pic is new board (with old logo and digital ads framing it which kind of made it looks like the old board).

You know what. The first picture shown was the new board and I thought it was the old so, there I was wrong. I got confused in one of your later posts where you showed the old board and there is where I kept saying it was the old.

No biggie. Field looks great and it's almost game time...4 hours and 16 minutes to kick off.

You? Confused? Who would have thought.

You keep proving my point. It took you 4 pages to recognize what the guy was talking about. Congrats art.

You really did not look closely did you? He had the old scoreboard in some of his posts and he said it was the new one. But you go ahead and continue.
