I think at the 50 makes sense since each half is a mirror image. And the 20-30 is because of the logos. I think it would look more odd with half the logo on dark vs. light blades of grass -- and maybe your OCD would have more of a problem with that?

My guess is that with the logos on the 25 yard line you want a solid color behind them and if you alternate at the 50 within the 45's the stripes on the field aren't symmetrical. But now that you pointed it out it is going to bug me too. That is until I get a few beers in me and all I will be focusing on is not letting the towson offense hear the qb's snap count.

Impressive.

What would be more impressive is 1.) More blue chair back seats, particularly in the bowl (adjust the price so that you can fill more seats even if they are somewhat less expensive) and 2.) Permanent seats at the scoreboard end to force people to spend less time standing there and more time in their seats. Let's not encourage people to congregate at that concourse.

I don't understand that at all. LSU endzones are loaded with purple and gold paint..same thing with Alabama, USC, UCLA, Georgia, Florida. All natural grass and all with bold endzones. I'm not bitching about the improvements..love the way the field looks but would prefer bold colors in the endzone that's all
