Benefit of playing in the SEC is you have plenty of opportunities to pick up quality wins, Arkansas probably gonna make a run to get a bid now with the way they're playing. Up 20 on Texas's home floor and Texas has been playing pretty well lately.

This sucks. We needed that Texas win to hold up. I felt like Texas had a manageable schedule to get to 20 wins and a likely Top 30 NET, but now I am not so sure.

They might not get to those goals, but they are not dead yet against Arkansas. They are only down 8 with 4 minutes left

Donovan Dent was great scouting by New Mexico, one of the best PGs I've seen this year

I just have no idea why these schools commit the chronic sin of letting their old coach weigh in on the new coach. Does it ever work?

Kevin Ollie won in 2014 with one of the worst teams to win a championship in the modern era (last 60 years).

Nelson - thats subjective
They would have beat that Nova team that beat GTown

Not if that Nova team was as coked up as it was for the Georgetown game.

Kid at UMass game makes layup, free throw, 3 pointer and then half courter for 10k. Insurance company says foot is on the line so no dough. UMass has offered a suite for a game and another chance but got 1k and some other consolation prizes.

The kid who made a half courter at the Creighton game at Gampel definitely had a foot over the line. Wonder if Powerade paid him.

And insurance companies still wonder why everyone hates them…

They should stop being cheapskates and just give him the 10k, .

What was the company?
OddsOn Promotions according to the post. Did a quick look-up and apparently insuring these types of contests “for a small fee” is what they do. Clearly they make their money on the fine print

Several posts about Kansas stinks when they lost to Baylor. Not a single post about beating Iowa State. Hmmm.

By the way, I agree that KJ and Harris are just too limited. Both good players but not in starting roles playing major minutes on team with Final Four aspirations. Dickenson is obviously good, but he needs to play harder at both ends and that means fewer minutes.

Ahh. So UMass would pay if it happened and they were looking to offset some of the risk to this OddsOn Promotions. Tough spot for them, because they don't want to set the precedent of paying when there was a violation, but by not paying, they get a reputation for stiffing promotions like this so why would anyone buy the insurance?

I’m wondering whose responsibility it was to explain the rules to the kid because apparently he wasn’t told to stay behind the line. Presumably they don’t have a rep at every one of these events so it’s probably on UMass to own the mistake

Everybody knows you gotta stay behind the line, but they still should've paid him. My guess is they'll be shamed into paying up.

Theres a guy in Norwalk "Hole in Won" who's been writing sham insurance polies on hole-in-one contests for years. Never pays out, been indited a few times CT man indicted for earning nearly $1M through his fraudulent prize insurance company but his web site is still up and running . . .

CCSU won last night over FDU 87-66

17-6 overall. They’re 1st in NEC (8-2) with 6 games left and 4 at home. Remaining games games are against bottom half of conference.

The last 5 minutes has been watching Jase Richardson go 1 on 1 over and over and over again and it's very fun lol

I guess you want Creighton to win this, can't see them losing 2 in a row at home and they should be ranked. Have my doubts that we can win in Omaha it's makes last night loss so frustrating.

Texas in trouble late. It would be nice if some of our OOC wins would hold up.
