Spartans get #8 Purdue off UConn’s back
You did think they were the best team in the country, you were crushing pretty hard on them.Purdue may be the team I enjoy watching lose the most in the country.
He was on with Dauster. Said He does 3-4 games a week I think. He did a good job last nightBetween the NBA and CBB it feels like Robbie Hummel is calling a game 7 days a week. Pistons/Spurs on Monday, UConn game last night and now on the call for Purdue vs Mich St, guy must live in the airport from Nov-April.
Not sure if was more than they rolled back their big 3 and brought this kid Cluff & Mayer in. On paper, sounds good. Cluff is a goon, Mayer is way overrated. You did think they were the best team in the country, you were crushing pretty hard on them.
Agree 100% , I didn’t see that he was doing the game at the start and thought Bilas was doing the game with Fanta whe I turned it onIt sounded like he was doing a Jay Bilas impression last night. His voice does not match his face. I like him though.
I know people say the SEC is not that great this year and that may be true, but Florida is for real. The one thing that might doom them is their guard play-it's inconsistent. Not sure if was more than they rolled back their big 3 and brought this kid Cluff & Mayer in. On paper, sounds good. I think Painter's run at having a NC contender dips hard. You just can't roll these kinda athletes out there and have any chance unless you have Godzilla in the middle. I don't even know what his roster is next year? Pierce, Mayer, Cox?
S16 is their ceiling. Exquisitely boring basketball team - it's like the All Amish roster.
That loss may open the door for Florida to hit the 2 line.
Revisionist history…..he still hasn’t acknowledged it. Don’t you know he’s been in love with Duke all year ????You did think they were the best team in the country, you were crushing pretty hard on them.
Losing to Michigan, Michigan State, and Illinois is not that shocking, IMO. But looking back, getting blown out at home to Iowa State was shocking to me. Iowa State is a very good team that has a ceiling at the Sweet 16 or, with the right draw, at the Elite 8. However, Iowa State doesn't look all that great on the road this year. It's honestly pretty shocking that 4 teams have gone into Mackey this year and won. They're all top 10 teams, but still.
He was the best analyst in years, imo.He was on with Dauster. Said He does 3-4 games a week I think. He did a good job last night
Pretty cool breakdown of Sarr on defense - kid is pretty sick, and a bit of what Castle was for us. His ability to slide through screens, recovery, close out and wingspan are all top notch. And it looks like he loves to defend. Him and Brown are elite defenders for that team. They can really shut down just about anyone. He is what we need Ross to be, similar body types. Duke is going to be very tough as they have 4 top 20 defenders per Maya, and have an answer for just about any position on the floor.
18 ppg as a frosh aint' bad - Philly kid. He'll definitely be in the portal. Shorter than ideal.Didn’t want to start a thread about potential incoming portal players, but Kevair Kennedy from Merrimack is someone I think we should look at for depth. Freshman from Philly putting up 18-5-4 and is a very good defender. Close enough that it would make sense, I watched some vids on him and he looks really good. Shooting is an issue but everything else is impressive.
They're both listed at 6'7" in shoes. Is that all Ross is? He looks longer to me.Ross is 6’6 with probably a 6’8 6’9 wingspan at best.
Sarr is 6’8 with a 7’ wingspan. Not exactly similar.

No - different. Not nearly "in your shirt" as Castle. He covers using speed and long arms. Very impressive though. His ability to pick a pocket with those arms is dangerous. Castle will be more denial, frustrate. This guy is like a prey mantis with speed.Impressive defense but not near the footwork Castle had on screens.
He was the best analyst in years, imo.
Let's see if this plays out......
Smelt something weird with UM - they're super talented, but something seems flakey about them.
