Looks like we have a challenge:
Haven’t seem him play. How does he compare with Cam? Why is he so much betterCurrently mocked in the 20s but how does he not rise into the lottery?
Looks like we have a challenge:
they're exceptionally inconsistent...it really rises and falls on whether the rest of the team is being effective. if they are hitting, it looks like good team ball driven by having to over-focus on boozer. If they aren't, it looks like boozer not being aggressive enough and a 1-dimensional team.Watching Duke Clemson. We hold the advantage at every position except Boozer, which will be a big mismatch. Pat is in the Silas camp of overfouling and their guards and wings do nothing for me. Give Kimani a week to prepare a Edey like game plan against Boozer and I’m not worried at all if we run into them in the east
So, this is the game Peterson was waiting for, eh?Iowa St smacking Kansas, their resume was becoming a bit too good so I'm cool with it

Yeah, drab performance. I have this feeling all these games of top teams in the B12 will simply go to the home team.Iowa St smacking Kansas, their resume was becoming a bit too good so I'm cool with it
He did pick our juggernaut teams in the past. What Jay “believes” is often wrong.
Yeah, he did. Although 24 was easy. If he ain't picking UConn, no one hear is going to want to hear it.He did pick our juggernaut teams in the past.
They are rising up the food chain fast. All they needed was that back court to play well and they were going to flip back into a contender given a championship front court.Florida is on a dominant roll because of that frontcourt.
Didn't he pick against the Shabazz championship team all 6 games? They weren't "tough" enough. What Jay “believes” is often wrong.
Outside of the first half of the BYU game his play has been pretty mid as of lateSo, this is the game Peterson was waiting for, eh?

The close of the Texas Tech game was special.
They need him out there more because they need to figure out how to work around him. When he's out there now it doesn't feel like a 5 man team, it feels like DP and 4 guys.
I didn't watch that game and see two teams that could win a title. ISU plays some very good defense, but they generally don't have a lot of horsepower on offense.
Up until KU figures out how to consisently play with DP, they are limited. ISU feels like an Elite 8 ceiling to me.
Rather than our wins aging beautiful, we as a team need to age beautifully at this point. We control our destiny, we don't need wins to age well at this point. That Florida win is aging beautifully.
Even the way he walks through the handshake line at the end of game is a little unusual. He feels a little different. It may be why he looks different, not sure how that blends in with the team.Think Petersen suffers from what most of the guys on that 06 UConn Team suffered from, he just looking to the NBA college ball is just something to keep him occupied until June.

I don't agree - I think ISU can win it all - they have a great PG and have a few snipers with good rebounding too.
I don't think they will, but they can.
I think our OOC resume value isn't going to appreciate at such a level that it really swings how it mpacts our seeding. We have a path, as does Houston. It's 1a and 1b for the 1 seed. We should handle all games other than @Nova and StJ, as they should other than the 3 against ISU, Kansas & AZ. How each team does there will determine who gets that 1.I guess...I think most teams need both. If KU and FL and Illinois suddenly were unranked, that wouldn't help us. They're all playing like title contenders (KU not today) and that helps our resume.
Bill Self has played it all wrong with him. The best thing he could've done is tell Peterson and his people to take a hike.Think Petersen suffers from what most of the guys on that 06 UConn Team suffered from, he just looking to the NBA college ball is just something to keep him occupied until June.
It's a real tough call - you don't want to be that coach that loses out on future recruits because you told a top kid to take a hike. Their hypothetical ceiling with him out there is much higher. That said, their chemistry with him definitely seems off.Bill Self has played it all wrong with him. The best thing he could've done is tell Peterson and his people to take a hike.

We go 0-2 and they go 1-2, they probably get it. We go 1-1, they go 2-1, they probably get it. We own it right now, but by the slimmest of margins is how I see it. We go 2-0, as we should, we control destiny. Let's win out.
As for ISU, they feel like they are one ingredient away from being a champion. Something about their system seems to break down in spots, ala losing at a bad Cinci, along with track record in the tourney. Their big 3 issolid, but nothing that jumps out at me.
Not arguing it isn’t aging well, it is, simply stating how it ages at this point doesn’t have impact on our seeding.Yeah going forward I agree. I don't know what it is about my statement that you're arguing with. The W against FL is aging beautifully, if they were playing bad and out of the top 25 with 10 losses or something, it wouldn't.
