I'm not going to predict each of the seeds, but I think the Big 10 has done enough to warrant 4 top-4 seeds. You can't deny Ohio State a top-4 when they tied for the regular season title with Iowa.

Looks pretty good. I would the B12 teams differently: Baylor, Texas, and then Iowa State and Oklahoma (I like Texas OOC schedule, and willing to ding Iowa State for theirs). I would add Maryland, and drop ND (tempted to drop UNC instead, as the Committee seems to like ND).

I only play 1 and 2 seeds.

I. SCar
2. Stanford
3. NC State
4. Louisville
5. UConn

6. Iowa State/Baylor. For today I'm guessing Iowa state. TONIGHT'S GAME COULD CHANGE THE COMMITTEE OPINION BEFORE THE INK DRIES.

7. Maryland/Michigan. For today I'm guessing Michigan.

8. Either the number 2 Big Ten or the Big 12 number 2. For today, I'm guessing. Baylor as number 2 behind Iowa State.

With Michigan loosing to Iowa and Iowa State playing at Baylor tonight changes will take place in the upcoming tournament seeding.

Your number #1's are not going to change. You still have South Carolina as the Overall one. Then Stanford as the second. Question is who will be 3 and 4? The ACC Tournament will decide that. That is if Louisville and NC State both advance that far. If so, then the winner will be the third number one. However, then the Big 12 comes into play. If the winner of tonight's matchup see above wins out then they will be the 4th #1 seed. And deservedly so.

Sadly, for them though they will get shipped East and play in Bridgeport. If UConn wins out and they can move up to be the highest #2 seed. The ACC loser will drop to a #2 seed. But they can't play a league foe in the tournament. The team that intrigues me the most right now is LSU. They have won eight straight. They will be a #2 seed as well depending on how far they advance in the SEC Tournament.

For the 4th #2 seed that can go to the loser of tonight's Big 12 game or the Winner of the Big 10 Tournament.

Greensboro - South Carolina - Big 10 Winner
Bridgeport - Big 12 Winner (if Baylor or Iowa State) - UConn
Wichita - ACC Winner - LSU or (Baylor, Iowa State loser)
Spokane - Stanford - ACC Loser

And Michigan
Well, one could argue that without Clark's performance (11-18, 8-11, 8-8), the score could have been closer. It will be interesting to see the reveal tonight.

Creme keeps UConn out of the Bridgeport bracket again. CBS Sports said the same thing yesterday after the UConn game. Julianne Vianni, announcer for yesterday's game on CBSSN, made the point that it would be a major mistake.

Creme does not see what UConn is capable of. UConn should be a 2 seed right now.

If UConn is not in Bridgeport, there is going to be a lot of empty seats!! And a lot of egg of the face of the selection committee.

As an aside, have to give kudos to Poughkeepsie native Vianni. We Poughkeepsie peeps stick together.

For today, You might be right. However, the Big Ten’s top team will be in top 8 when the final selection is made.

Well, that's not how Creme and the committee reveal work. The seedings/bracket is based on your body of work up to now, not what someone is capable of down the road. That being said, UConn has 8 Q1 wins; that's pretty strong and I would say warrants a Top 8 national seed, especially since so many other candidates for the #2 seeds have lost one or more games the last couple of weeks.

A part of me wonders whether the committee specifically asked ESPN/Creme and others to place UConn elsewhere to gauge the reaction of interested parties as they consider final placements.

Sure they can. OSU's NET ranking is #31; and, they only have 5 Q1 wins.

Maybe. But, neither Baylor nor ISU has a single Top 10 non-conference win; those are the wins that separate the Top 4, IMO.

Creme just updated the brackets, which IMHO ignores how bad ND looked yesterday.
It's one game. Teams are evaluated on the whole resume, not one particularly good or bad performance.

What I find interesting on that list, of the top 15 ranked NET teams, only #1 South Carolina and #15 LSU are ranked. Considering Charlie has 9 teams from the SEC on the brackets I would have expected a couple more SEC teams on that list.

I still don't completely get why the committee and Creme have Iowa State so highly-ranked. They only have 5 Q1 wins; that appears to be the lowest of anyone fighting for a #2 national seed. Best win is Baylor; no highly-ranked non-conference wins.

I think NCSt & Lou are locked in as #1 seeds now. If they lost yesterday and early in the ACCT then maybe they could've dropped, but a single loss in the ACCT isnt going to erase an exceptional regular season.
