Orlando Antigua failed miserably as a head coach at USF but has had huge success as a head recruiting assistant.

Clearly better at holding a bag than a clipboard.

For Mac, a bag and a starting spot on a BIG10 (top 25) team await. Any reason for DH to continue recruiting?
In state kid, to play for a top 25 team in the Big East

If we landed him we’d have a cool pairing of MacBouk.

would have to be mac and aiken

That's disappointing, but not shocking. I love discussion about whether or not we'd take him even more now that his list of schools is out.

As for Etienne, while I don't like hearing about any visits to other schools, there's no reason to think this is a Kofi situation. We have been all over him, and he has interest in us. From what I read on here, Kofi was never enthusiastic about UConn.

Towns is immediate eligible 2 years left I think, right? That's the main reason the quality of offers is so high. He's a Cam Johnson type.

I think my ideal scenario is signing Etienne and having Gilbert return. Gilbert as a 4th or 5th guard off the bench would be great. Gives us a really good defender and plenty of depth at the guard position.
sonogo over etienne but otherwise agreed. cole, bouk, and polley/jackson are starting. wont believe a better grad transfer than Al will want to come off the bench here until i see it

Sorry, yes Sanogo over Etienne but I think Etienne is the more likely option. I’d take either for sure.

Etienne is currently at the illinois-Iowa game. Seemed to have had a good weekend. Also visited Marquette recently.

I am.on the Hurley train. If these kids are swayed by anything other than playing for UConn in the Big East next year than so be it (i think he's just taking visits which is fine)

He is just taking visits from info I know from the family. He’s a heavy UConn lean but anything can happen.

Every recruit does this. Why not take advantage of your visits to experience some of these schools? If I was a recruit you'd best bet I'd be exercising all my visits. I'd give UConn a silent verbal then take a visit to UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, Miami, etc. :D:D

My buddy played with Flutie early 80's at BC. When at Maloney HS we was recruited by mostly everyone. He knew he was going to select from BC, Cuse or Penn State so those were 3 of his 5. The other 2 he visited were USC and Miami for exactly the reason you speak of.

Exactly. And exactly why I'm not concerned about the Illinois visit. We lead for him.
