1) UCONN with the #1,2, and 9
2) SC with the #4, 8 & 12
3) Baylor with the #3 & 22
4) ND with the #7 & 20
5) Ohio St with the #5
6) TN with the #6

That's probably about the way they'll end up this year too.

Baylor with #3 and 22? Davis and Johnson? And no Alexis Jones? She's definitely top 10 and she's the player I'd put at #3. Probably drop Davis down to about 9 just behind Wilson. Just my $.02. I think ETT would have a better sense of who the best player on their team is...

How can Wilson be rated so high but not be good enough to start? I have to think Dawn knows something others don't. I like Tuck better than Turner but I can respect her placement.

UConn has 3 in the top 10, #1 Stewie, #2 Moriah, #9 Tuck, Where is Kia?

For whom would you give up Kia Nurse? Answer: no one. There isn't a single quality that Kia lacks. She brings energy, an attacker's mentality, the talent to score from any place on the court, a willingness to share the ball. Her defense is unparalleled. UConn has a Core Four; I wouldn't trade one of them. Argue about individual talent; then talk to me about a talented group that plays team bb. On the Huskies, everyone pulls weight.

Kia should be in the top 10-20.
She is the most under-rated player

Last year, IIRC, this list was predictive of who made the WBCA AA team. Imagine Morgan being healthy enough to go this season in its entirety, being considered a national top 10 player, receiving WBCA AA honors alongside Stewie and Mo, and having her name adorn the Huskies of honor wall on Senior Day/Night 2017 (asuming she plays as she says she intends to).

Not only would it be awesome to have the entire 2012 recruiting class on the Wall, having three WBCA AAs on the team correlates very, very well with an NC. One need only refer to 2002, 2009, 2014, or 2015. We could easily have Stewie, Mo, and Tuck on the 1016 All-American team.

She may just need time to be considered as such. That sophomore leap is coming from her. We got excited about it after the PanAm Games, and she looked fantastic in the first exhibition against Lubbock Christian.

I'm fine with Nurse not making this list. That just means she can run under the radar for a little while longer. She's a monster, and there is VERY little that is subtle about her game. When that part arrives, she'll be in the Top 10, easily.

Until then, she will just be that frightfully annoying player that nobody saw coming. Like Taurasi, when as a freshman suddenly hop-skipped through the middle of your defense for a simple layup, or Turner, when she was surrounded by posts 3-4 inches taller than her yet she got the rebound AND the putback AND the foul, or Faris getting it done in any one of dozens of crucial plays in her career.

THAT is why Nurse is on the hat.

Just like Morgan didn't get the proper All-American recognition she deserved last year (some 3rd team BS) because the knucklehead voters refused (their 'rule') to honor a 4th Husky, Kia is being similarly overlooked because recognizing too many Huskies troubles folks. The effort to spread the accolades around and acknowledge kids from lots of different schools rather than get top-heavy with a few schools is apparent. So if UConn legitimately has 4 of the best players in America, well, sorry, the limit is three.

BTW- Bulgak, Alleyne, J.Jones and Hamblin are really good frontcourt players, but ranking all of them ahead of Azure Stevens is just ridiculous. Given a choice of those five, would anyone NOT take Stevens?

I will probably get run off this board for saying this but I am OK with Kia not being a part of this list.
Why? The voters Charlie Creme, Graham Hays, Michelle Smith and Mechelle Voepel all cover NCAA Women's basketball. So this voting selected the 25 best underclassmen returning to college basketball. To make this list Kia would have to have been one of the top 5 Freshmen in the country last year. IMO she was solid but not top 10. Those that were better Wilson, Turner. Stevens, Mitchell, Greenwell-RSF made the list. Now we all know Kia did major damage over the Summer with Team Canada during Pan Am Games-Should that count? Maybe-then summer basketball play should also count positively for Cahtrice White of Illinois, McCall of Stanford , Harper Of KU, Ortiz of Oklahoma all of who have the credentials to take someone off this list. Kia keeps playing the way she is playing and they will have a hard time keeping her out of top 10 next year.

1) There is no way on God's green earth that would i take either Mitchell over Alexis Jones. I'd put her third.

2) Glad to see Greenwell get some recognition, cant wait to see what she can do this year now that she doesnt have to be a primary ball-handler.

3) Not sure if the players read this Espn stuff or not... but if Im Azura Stevens.. and I see that im #24 on the list... while Turner and Wilson are #7 and #8... I'd feel some type of way

Was hoping to see Kahleah Copper or Tyler Scaife get some recognition, since I believe both are going to have a great season. Great 1-2 punch for Rutgers.

You'd feel some type of way? And what way is that, or are we supposed to guess?
