Look, when you've got a chance to bring the University Park market to your conference, I think you have to jump on it.Yeah, if you get the chance to weaken the conference in major sports and increase travel costs, you’ve got to jump at it. They’re a negative.
They gave them an in saying “Providence” and hardly a boo. They gave them an in with “Rip and JC” hardly a cheer. So far weak effort!
0-3 on College Gameday games?![]()
Rip with the swish from half court.
He has to be on the list. No shade on any of the picks but what Bazz did with the supporting cast was legendary. The top five list was basically those who went on to nba success. And really the program is just to good to pick a five players all time list without someone or several players being snubbed. Donyell and Ray were great but we never got to a final four or won an ncaa championship with them playing. In fact Donyell with those missed free throws may have cost us our first trip. But his talent was immense. The condor he was Connie Hawkins #2. Not even sure why they would have a segment like that….just ESPN filling time.No mention of Shabazz.
These kids just don’t get it. Not a strong enough or loud enough reaction with JC and Rip. We are talking about 2 of the absolute most important pieces to UConn basketball and they were too quiet.
To be fair. Current students weren't even born in 1999.These kids just don’t get it. Not a strong enough or loud enough reaction with JC and Rip. We are talking about 2 of the absolute most important pieces to UConn basketball and they were too quiet.
If Shabazz is in the list, who are you taking off? Ray and Donyell were pillars to the foundation of what UConn became. He has to be on the list. Current students probably don't even remember the Calhoun era at all. They would have been like 6-8 years old when he retired lolThese kids just don’t get it. Not a strong enough or loud enough reaction with JC and Rip. We are talking about 2 of the absolute most important pieces to UConn basketball and they were too quiet.
I agree. When they just rained boos on the Duke mention the volume increased.Like I said, I think they adjusted the mics to drown out the crowd noise so the hosts can be heard better. They were much louder at the beginning of the broadcast.
Yell has to go. Bazz was incredible. If Shabazz is in the list, who are you taking off? Ray and Donyell were pillars to the foundation of what UConn became.
