I’m applying for a one time waiver to quote Reibe “ I’m happy to be a fudging Husky!”

he's already working the NIL branding. genius

He's from Hanover, Germany?

It would be cool if there was some brand related to that he could pimp here in the states.

Amazing get. We're getting the guys we want. And this guy is gonna be great.

Who else didn't know until recently that his name was pronounced RYE-BUH?

(In my head I've been alternatively saying REEB or REE-BUH.)
I wondered if it was pronounced that way. In German, if it's ei it is pronounced "I", it it were ie, it would be pronounced "E".

We have a brewery in Charlotte named Gilde that makes Hannover style beer.

Class ranking is up to #8 on 247! It might be #1 if we get Mullins.

This list has a long way to go and will change a lot by end of recruitment season. As you can likely tell, it's cumulative as no one is doing jumping jacks for the majority of those classes. Better to be higher on the average score per recruit than the cumulative. Quality over quantity. Duke & Kentucky will likely grab 1 or 2 more each and both be top 5, which is customary for them.

But yeah, this class is gonna shape up nicely as right in the mold of what Hurley does well, roster develop not accumulate stars.

Exactly. As in Eisenhower's niece...

Coaching staff certainly has a type that they go after. Articulate, unselfish and willing to share credit. He also seems to have a great relationship with his father. And he was very aware of the Rhode Island game.

I also think he has a strong facial resemblance around the eyes to Cam. Another plus.

Welcome aboard Eric.

from espn article:

"The left-handed Reibe is one of the most skilled post players in the country. What makes him hard to defend is that he can both score and pass with his back to the basket or while facing the basket. As a face-up threat, his touch and range on his midrange and 3-point shots are consistent. In ball-screen scenarios, he can pop and space, short-roll or dive hard to the rim. Playing with his back to the basket, Reibe's instincts, footwork and moves are based on the location of his defender. Right now, his left-handed jump hook and baseline spin are ahead of schedule. He is also valuable in dribble-handoff actions because of his coordination, mobility and hands.

"Eric has always been a force on the offensive end, his ability to shoot and pass will help space the floor," Bullis School coach Bruce Kelly said. "His commitment to improving defensively over the past year has been notable. He can now move his feet well enough to switch pick-and-rolls and keep the ball handler in front of him. He is also very comfortable covering perimeter players as his primary matchup."

Had me at 7 footer left-handed jump hook being ahead of schedule

So damn excited, but just to be accurate…

He is a lefty, isn’t he? So how’s his right hand hook shot? lol

Good word! With his ability to shoot the 3 the Hurley offense is going to be an utter - nightmare for opposing teams. I hope we get two years out of this kid because he will lead us to another banner.
