If CT Hoops is even legitimate, I would be very surprised if he remained in the NBA draft. Silas is a damn good player that should aim to play in the NBA, but thinking strategically next year is a better draft for him to earn money by having an improved draft position. This seems more along the lines of Karaban testing the waters in 2024 and 2025 to get feedback evaluation from NBA scouts.

It’s crazy when people can’t tell the fake insiders from the real over here. If someone doesn’t have a track record of correct information, they shouldn’t be posted here.
 
I’m assuming Silas will do the test and return thing again, but I really don’t understand the point, if I’m being honest. He’s not an NBA player yet.
 
I’m going to comment on few things mentioned above:

I hope Silas is successful no matter what, would love to have him back running the show after all he learned this year.
I think he’d be even better for 26-27 but he needs to to what’s best. Think he, like Braylon, can earn more money and move up in next years draft with another year. And by the way, I’d take Silas over Cadeau every day of the week. Cadeau is the beneficiary of a great team around him, shot 10-28 in the FF and won the MOP? No thanks.

Like the kid from Iowa, some good stuff there Falgolieras. Could play PF and maybe a little 5 on occasion. Intelligent player, nice skills for sure wouldn’t mind that at all. And the kid Goode from RMU saw his last year and this year during tourney season, real nice player and has leader attributes. Tough kid and can score all over.

So many potential kids who can come in not sure on the PGs maybe back to Mingo, or work for Wilkins? Not sure on Pettiford, sorry real streaky shooter and a little out of control at times. But maybe Dan Hurley, Kimani and Nardi can change that because he’s extremely talented.

And either Royal or Freeman? Kind of like Donnie’s rebounding ability and length but both very good players!

Gonna be fun seeing what happens there has to be kids out there who will be extremely happy to hear from UCONN I would guess!!

Side note - I think Braylon is coming back! Just a hunch
 
Admittedly, I have not read every post since Monday night after the National Championship, but I have not seen many posts here about Moustapha Thiam. This is the guy I want at center. He seems like a tough defensive presence and he has some floor spacing element to his 3 pt shooting on the level of Sanogo (in 2023 he was 19/52 for 37%). I wonder how many dunks this guy had last year and how many alley oop dunks he had. An above the rim and floor spacing center that can play tough defense, sign me up. I am sure he will have his suitors, but am I missing some updates on this guy?

Get used to the unexpected. I said I wouldn't be surprised by anything this offseason. I won't because it's a whole new world.

This would surprise me about Demary, but there's absolutely something to this in general.

Daniel Hamilton left after 2 years despite not accomplishing much and not being high on anybody's draft board because he just didn't care for college.

Hamilton didn’t have a mm NIL bag to come back to. That is a huge difference.

At this point, it's the wild West out there. Taking a kid out of the portal who played in your conference isn't even close to the worst that is happening.

B- statistics majors got jobs in sports analytics and convinced coaches that playing more mediocre 6'6 wings was a better strategy that playing actual point guards and centers. Now that the analytics are getting sharper and applying the proper value to post up touches, everyone wants centers again.

I was calling for two bigs on the court at once since Carlton and Whalley were our front court. It is a matter of time, because it is the superior offensive strategy.

100% is - while we didn't do it in 2024, Clingan was the primary reason being our dominance. Last year, this year, dominant FC's lead the way.

Yes but we never play centers together. What made our frontcourts so great was we've always had a two headed monster at the position who split the time evenly or the bench center always got 13 minutes or more and a power forward who had all the intangibles and had to be treated like a shooting guard/small forward because of his shooting. It got us two of the most dominant national championships ever and another national championship game.

Reibe averaged a little more playing time than Clingan did his freshman season. It doesn't seem like he understands the bigger picture.
