Mullins is gone with the way he is playing. He is an NBA lottery pick. I'm not sure why people are still holding out hope. Also, Ross is SF and not a SG.

He does for his midrange and has taken it the hoop quite a lot. Ross is more of a 3/4 in our offense and not a 2 as his dibble is very iffy. On the other I will just say we have had tons of posts on whether Mullins is leaving. After this tourney he is almost a definite.

That’s also not what I’m saying. Any 2 of Silas / Transfer / Ball would be at the 1 & 2 spots and Mullins would also shift down (hypothetically) when Ross subs in. use your imagination. Thanks for the tangent.

But even there Ross isn't a 2. But ok whatever you can talk to yourself. I never said Mullins wouldn't slide to the 2 on occassion when Ross came in to play the 3. The 3. LOL!

My guess is if they win Monday night, he’s gone. If they don’t, I could easily see him running it back.
 
Carlton played at the wrong time. 10 years earlier or 10 years later, he would have been a major contributor. The generation of analytics that existed when he played at UConn de-emphasized interior play, and has since been proven wrong.

Ross isn’t close to a 2, not a speck of a 2 in his game. He’s getting better but his handle and passing isn’t there yet, and he’ll be a senior. Honestly I know everyone loves him but much like Diarra his last year, we are better if he’s our 6th man next year still, an impactful sixth man!
 
Riding endorphins off a couple wins isn't a great view. This is a very wrong take.

I was listening to Braylon's father father on a pod cast. He feels like the injury has robbed Braylon of his explosion. If true, Braylon is even a better prospect the one with the perfect jumpshot and lightning quick release. Very unlikely he will. return.

He was 5-14 with a three point bank shot last night, made some awful decisions. I think people have to slow their roll. He made a key shot off a nice set and we won, keep it in perspective.

People on this thread who are acting like it’s a lock Mullins is gone shouldn’t be taken seriously. NBA front offices aren’t moving him up their boards because of “The Shot,” that’s not how it works. Of course it’s possible he goes pro this year but it’s also possible that given how much he and his family love Hurley and the program that they think a 2nd year here making big NIL $$ would be very beneficial.

He was still very active and looked more explosive. He has a sweet shot and good size. He is still young and the NBA covets prospects like this. I understand your doubt but I think he is gone especially if we win it and he plays well. It will be interesting who he will play defensively as he is too small to play Lendeborg.

He’s just doing his thing where he knocks UConn players at every opportunity. It’s fine, he’s been doing it all year, but the idea that the Keaton Waglers of the world are sure fire prospects while our guys do nothing but hit lucky shots sure gets old

Yeah, with the Duke heroics and playing well yesterday on the big stage, he stopped/reversed any slippage in his draft stock he might have had. I think it's 95% he goes now. If we lose and he plays bad tomorrow, maybe 80%. If we win, its 99.9%.

I think a lot of the high profile portal entries are plays for more NIL from their teams. Getting kind of ridiculous, but I expect Nova to pay him and he stays.

I know the EO itself is BS, but I hope that those rules somehow get legally implemented to curb the insanity.

Do you really think it works like that? He's 4/10 and 4/14 with a logo shot and a banked three baked in. I honestly don't see his stock moving at all off these last two.

If anything, Tarris has upped his stock considerably - I didn't think so at first, but this has just been beyond unreal in terms of his tourney performance.

Gets to the point where unless you really are connected to a program, the default is to test and put yourself out there.

Lewis felt like a mercenary early - likely why Hurley passed. He kept all 4 BB's on his "list" for optics, all the shenanigans with Lewis on SM, the last second shift to Nova from UK who was never even on his list.

Agreed. Gross what the game has become. This isn't a guy moving up from a mid-major. He got a ton of money from Villanova and I'm sure he was offered more to stay. Villanova had a solid season with a coach that took over late so there's no reason to think they won't stay solid. It's full free agency every year. If my team wasn't having so much success, and I'm not sure I'd be watching anymore. I already don't watch college football other than casually checking in on UConn.
