The ACC over the past few years did not play good defense compared to UConn. ND last season was solid and imo that's because they had a leader on the floor in Diggins. This season shes gone and again imo I want to see how well they play without her at the helm. I still think ND has a great core of players coming back but their floor leader isn't there. I do think they will be good but as good as last season with the ability to beat top teams in the ACC we will see. More then anything ND will need the charge calls in their favor to dominate, just like last season.

ND has always played solid fundamental defense, it's the Philadelphia way.

To a degree they are where UConn was at the start of last year - counting on Freshmen to grow fast. I'd like to know who will be a floor leader for them. You saw ND without a floor leader in the NCAA Semi-Game, with Diggins taken out of it physically and mentally. They will be better on the defense than the offense, though rule changes will take some getting used to (a neutral factor I guess). They lose 3-4 games, but still have a good shot at the Final 4.

I look for them to finish in 2nd place in the ACC regular season..... to watch Duke cut down the nets in Greensboro.... and to be a #1 seed in the NCAAs

The ACC conference race could be an interesting one this year, not that it isn't other years, but this year looks like a Duke ND race. Maybe MD will be in the mix, we'll soon see if they are for real.
