How is Notre Dame going to fair this season? Not what the experts say, but what you think.

I think they are going to be really good. I think the ACC is in for a rude awakening.

ND will be a good possibly great team. I think they come in 2nd in Regular Season, but will win the ACC Conference tourney. Possible #1 seed because they're hosting a Regional. Will end up with 2 or 3 losses.

In her first game for the Irish (exhib), Taya Reimer was 11-11 FG and 5-5 foul shots, for 27 points in 20 minutes. Not a bad outing for a freshman. On the other hand, it's gotta be downhill from there.

Achonwa out 4-6 weeks (knee). Braker & McBride didn't dress for the game. Not sure why.

Good! Then the arrivistes will generate instant dislike among their new conference mates.

I think they have a legitimate shot at reaching post-season undefeated. Maybe they'll split with Duke and be 1-1, but I'd favor them in every other game they have.

Kayla McBride and Ariel Braker, are doubtful for Wednesday’s exhibition game. McBride sprained her right ankle twice in the past two weeks. Braker is dealing with knee pain that plagued her last season

Braker and McBride were banged up as well. Now remind me again - why didn't Geno pursue Taya Reimer? Because she was a lollygagger? With 5 lollygaggers like that you could have 135 points a game!

I pretty much go with this.....maybe a couple of more losses.

I think, great!

Why?

MM can coach for reason #1. I am intrigued how they will look without Diggins but I think Lloyd and McBride will be able to step it up to help cover her. A great recruiting class.

I am really interested in seeing how ND's style of play works in the ACC. We all know how the Irish like to drive in the lane and draw fouls. If they hit their free throws they can pull out some games.

I am also hoping the Irish get a #1 seed because I don't want to play them in South Bend for a chance to go to the FF.

I picked them to finish #2, with Achonwa out it might take them a while to get there, but I believe that's where they will end up in the final rankings.

I look for them to finish in 2nd place in the ACC regular season..... to watch Duke cut down the nets in Greensboro.... and to be a #1 seed in the NCAAs

I think they end up with 4 or 5 losses in regular season and reach the conference finals. They will be good, but Achonwa will take until mid-January to round into form and she is a huge loss on top of a freshman PG. I also think their defense will take a while to adjust to the new rules and their physicality will stand out more in the ACC so they are more likely to be hit with more foul calls than they are used to.

I really don't know what to think about ND. Diggins was their leader and she is gone. She controlled tempo and chemistry. That's gone now and that was big. Im really not sure how ND will do overall. They will be a top team and if someone steps up in a leadership role they could win the ACC or finish in the top 3 . With the hand check rule and driving the lane and getting fouled they will be in every game. Turnovers will be something without Diggins too. As far as UConn playing them. I not the least bit worried. I will look forward to playing ND and Tenn if they make it that far. This UConn team is a steamroller.

Shhh, Wonster.....Why do you want to let the cat out of the bag? We all know that this is just a way to get the ACC to play against the Big East disguised as new ACC entrants. The new entrant will beat Duke, UNC , and Miami and win the ACC. Just say that ND will do just fine and leave it at that......Everyone doesn't have to know that this is a Big East Conference Special Ops and Stealth Operation to secretly take over the ACC.

Considering half of the ACC is former Big East members, it's no secret! Over the past decade they've added BC, Virginia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Louisville, and ND. If the basketball only schools left a decade ago before conference realignments became an annual tradition, I think the Big East would have survived with the above schools plus UConn as anchors.

I think the ACC will help them become stronger down the road. However this year I think the likes of Duke, North Carolina (with Diamond....) and potentially Maryland will be big battles for them.. and I do not see ND being a top five team going into the NCAA's.

I predict that if we are on opposite sides of the draw we will meet them in the Big Dance Finals.
