Yes, we've already had to put up with enough lousy AD and coach hires from a school administration that fears another APR ban like the boogeyman. Why can't we learn to just cheat on that like everybody else does? They all get away with it. That's another one of the many failures of our administration in the athletics realm...trying to run things like we're an Ivy League school while all of our opponents are cheating their asses off and getting away with it. We've reverted back to the way we did things in the early years of the Big East. How well did that work out for us?

Just like Mike Davis said in his recent interview. It would have better for him to work his way up to Indiana from Texas southern and not the other way. If Emeka wants to prove himself let him do it at a smaller school first and not hand him the keys to this car. We might not be a Ferrari anymore but we can at least be a loaded Honda Accord.

Clearly he’s not getting hired and shouldn’t. That said, if we were going to give that deal to a former player with no head coaching experience, I’d rather one who is and always was smart, and not one who...isn’t.

I think we should drift away from the "in the family" philosophy, but as a hypothetical situation where we did go that route, I guess he could do well as a bigs coach. Okafor and Hilton Armstrong both underwent some tremendous development during their time at UConn and both have some ability in leadership/mentoring. That being said, I think the likelihood of either of them ever joining the staff is less than that of Mick Cronin winning a dunking contest.
