Dude you said confirmed...If this is true, it’s one of the most wild turn of events I can remember. We were in great shape for two weeks. Nothing set in stone yet, but this is very odd.

I never assume anyone is completely clean in college sports. Can't even venture to guess if anything happened here but the past culture at Louisville could corrupt aLet’s give Louisville a little more credit than throwing money bags around. No cheating allegations under Mack, and he’s a good coach, done a really good job over there since Pitino. Just got beat out this time, no worries.
It’s one thing if it’s LSU, Arizona, or Kansas. But we just sound like the idiotic Syracuse fanbase every time we blame the reason we lose recruits on money.
The University of Louisville is an organized crime syndicate.
So we're still doing the "the only reason any recruit would pick another school over UConn is if they're bribing him" thing?
Good point, the Ville' has always been above board

Absolutely agree that it is kind of silly in this case. It is Louisville so the we should be sighting "school provided hookers" as the reason. So we're still doing the "the only reason any recruit would pick another school over UConn is if they're bribing him" thing?

Whoops?!Dude you said confirmed...
Was very confident, but was swindled as were others...happensWhoops?!
So you think they were transparent about the risk of a tournament ban? That's not as persuasive as you think.
This and if we go back to the original thread on him every comment was about him being a heavy Louisville lean. Pretty impressive we got as close as we did to flipping him with only Zoom callsNot attempting to stir the pot too much here... but it's a school closer to home and Mack is a more proven coach than Hurley. Objectively it makes sense even if I think the good guys can do a better job developing his talent.
Yeah, there is nothing to see here. Other schools absolutely don't pay players to attend their respective school. Especially Louisville, they are as clean as a whistle. So we're still doing the "the only reason any recruit would pick another school over UConn is if they're bribing him" thing?

Might very well be true. However, when a staff and "insiders" are extremely confident on a Sunday, then things abruptly change and are blindsided the next day, something always smells a bit fishy. This and if we go back to the original thread on him every comment was about him being a heavy Louisville lean. Anything is possible and in this particular situation, I have no idea. Certainly he could have picked them on merit. Equally as certain is that something could have helped persuade him to blindside our hard working staff overnight. Like you said, I don't think we need to use it as an excuse. But also don't pretend that it might not have happened. Especially with Louisville. College basketball is a business. Some follow the rules, some play in the gray area, and some do what ever the hell they want. I will let you decide which category Louisville falls under. Some schools I will give the benefit of the doubt. Others I just assume the worst. History usually repeats itself.Do you think it's possible he picked Louisville for reasons other than cash payments? Or are you 100% certain?
so basically what happened with Andre Jackson and Sanogo?Might very well be true. However, when a staff and "insiders" are extremely confident on a Sunday, then things abruptly change and are blindsided the next day, something always smells a bit fishy.

Definitely possible. But have they earned the benefit of the doubt?Do you think it's possible he picked Louisville for reasons other than cash payments? Or are you 100% certain?
