I can't imagine that any player likes being outplayed by the opponent who they're defending and who is defending them. I know I never did. However, the solution is to player harder not to play dirtier. The sequence running up the floor that has been referenced in this thread several times is a perfect example. Basketball is a contact sport; play can be physical. From day one, I've believed A.E.has the size and potential to be as god or better then Alliyah Boston. I believe she is on her way and we will find out in a couple of weeks..... As far as Morrow goes, she's a heck of an offensive player BUT, what I saw is she does not like being out played by another big.........
On the sequence in question Morrow fouled Aaliyah 3 times by my count compared to one by Aaliyah. None of the fouls were necessary physical play because they didn't involve circumstances in the normal course of play. All 3 by Morrow were in my opinion examples of dirty play on her part and should have been penalized. But then again that would require good officiating which of course is an oxymoron.
Morrow is a good shooter and rebounder because she uses her body size to move people out of her way. She is not anywhere near the complete player that Aaliyah is.
