First, he gets the Providence job and now his house burns down.

The man just cannot catch a break.

Seriously - the poor devil's house burned down tonight, but thankfully he and his family were either not at home or were able to get out safely.
 
I can't imagine losing all your worldly possessions, brutal, good thing no ones hurt.
 
I didn't think the hat jokes were funny when his house wasn't a smoldering pile of ash. But that's just me. Of course, nobody here thought they were funny when Charlie V played for us.

Having the job of PC Head Coach is a much more terrible fate than that house fire.

Is there another meaning to the hat jokes other than referencing his condition?

The real tragedy here is I read on the PC board they pay him over 2 million a year. Talk about bidding against yourself.
 
It was probably Austin.. all jokes aside though, thoughts and prayers to his family - that sucks

Well... I have to admit the Charlie has no pubes haiku might have made me laugh after the initial 'oh no he didn't' wore off. ;)

Anyway, I'm glad everyone is okay.

Nomar...I have never made any cracks ABOUT whatever he has going on with the scalp. My "Ed Cooley needs a hat!" quip is meant as a comment where I think it would be good to just cover up what I find as a distraction. I am not laughing at him. So, yeah, the hat quip connects comedy to his condition but its indirect, not direct. That's as much as my attorney says I should elaborate.


Louie C needs a new sweater!

I think Jameis Winston made more sense Monday night than that.

Note: I don't care either way about the hat joke/ not offended by it. But that explanation is priceless.

That's good to hear... the initial stories led me to believe it was far worse.
