I want to be pumped for this, but given so much of the narrative and content was tidal waved at us last season/summer, are we going to learn anything new here? Or is it just going to be a tighter weaved doc narrated by Jeremy Schapp?Looks good to me. Rehashing a lot of the stuff that we already know/have already seen and read before.

Hopefully it has a great soundtrack. Are we going to learn anything new here? Of course not, the story has been told 4,000 times.
Some fans hate the program and coach unless we’re winning a championship. It’s a miserable way to fan. But to each their ownThe most important thing for our program in the shifting college sports landscape is to be relevant.
Some of you people have lost the plot.
Yep, ironically if this were coming out while in a 'known' rebuilding year it'd be considered just the right medicine to boost UConn's profile and aid recruiting. The most important thing for our program in the shifting college sports landscape is to be relevant.

Yes not sure why people are minimizing this - who cares if its a rehash of a story we all know well? The fact that ESPN (ESPN!) is promoting UConn at a time when more people are starting to pay attention to CBB is huge for the brand. And this is during a down year. We need the brand to be out there as much as possible - its how we can win over recruits and eventually the brand will be a big part of the reason we get into a power conference.
Why? I just don’t see the downside.if it's about the team fantastic. If it's about hurley - no.

Hurley IS UConn. As was Calhoun and as is Geno. This isn’t professional sports where the team is bigger than the coach. His story is captivating. Let them talk about him/us.
Do you think this was filmed at all recently? It’s airing now, which is most likely not in his control. I’d bet money it was filmed in the off season. With all the work he puts in what evidence could you possibly have that he isn’t putting the team first? He’s one of the faces of the sport, who has to do mandatory press conferences. Ofc they’re going to make everything he says a sound bite. It literally is of no consequence. He was the same guy the last few years and no one here cared. What changed? He's been a soundbite gaff for much of the season. He's the coach, he should be putting his team first.

He won't look like a fool, because most people have more than 1 braincell and realize this wasn't filmed 2 weeks agoWell ... it's called "the other Hurley." if it was filmed preseason or even at the beginning of the season and he talks about 3peat more than once, he's gonna look like a fool, and so is the school.
What a weird hangup you have about Dan HurleyWell ... it's called "the other Hurley." if it was filmed preseason or even at the beginning of the season and he talks about 3peat more than once, he's gonna look like a fool, and so is the school.
I swear there is some contingent of the fanbase that still wishes KO was the coach. Now time for my message to be deleted and the thread lockedWhat a weird hangup you have about Dan Hurley
1. Are you implying he funded or asked ESPN to do a doc on his story?Well ... it's called "the other Hurley." if it was filmed preseason or even at the beginning of the season and he talks about 3peat more than once, he's gonna look like a fool, and so is the school.
Anything less than winning 8 national championships in a row to beat Wooden is a failure. We have such a strange fanbase. You'd think this team was 4-24 right now.
It’s really incredible. Are other fan bases like this? I guess it’s a Northeast thing but still. Some people here have lost their god damn mindsWe have such a strange fanbase. You'd think this team was 4-24 right now.

This is classic Boneyardin’The guy who said things were "as bad as the Ollie years" the other day was the one that jumped out to me. When they were going 14-18 in the American.
which team?if it's about the team, fantastic. If it's about hurley, he needs to make it about the team.
