E60 - “The Other Hurley”

The timing could not possibly be worse.
Agreed. Without knowing, I would guess he was sitting down for these interviews while telling reporters that kids had one foot in and one foot out. It's a bit rich to me.

A give him his flowers year - he earned it. I accepted this awhile ago. Should be last of its kind, a once in a lifetime chance to capture the beauty of the last two years in ESPN doc emblazoned form.

Could be worse, he could have left for the Lakers. Now I’m interested in how he carries forward.

Why do some people act like a slightly disappointing season is equivalent to getting caught in some scandal?

Timing could not possibly be worse? What?

Hey, Dawn Staley has a new book coming out. What? Doesn't she know her team got blown out by UConn? What a loser!

Yeah Calhoun had down years as well during a rebuild. I honestly didn’t expect to win it this year. I do want to make a run to the elite 8 at least. I know it will be hard for this team. But it’s very obvious to me that with what we have coming in and oh my god another year of Reed. I do see Ross being a defensive stopper the next two years we are back on the rise with the right addition or two. Were right there.

He's promoting the UConn brand-good.. He's promoting his brand ahead of a book release in Sept-smart. And he's deflecting some of the attention put on his team as they head into Tournament time so that some of the pressure is off -- and perhaps they can play loose and relaxed-good.

Surprised at the Kevins and Karens on the Yard jumping all over him. I can understand opposing team's social media platforms. But here? Can't imagine what it would be like around here if we were 9-20 instead of 20-9.

Its March- Crazy things can happen as we all know.

The 11am release gives us plenty of time to watch it before the boys take the court Saturday night.

Looks good to me. Rehashing a lot of the stuff that we already know/have already seen and read before.
I want to be pumped for this, but given so much of the narrative and content was tidal waved at us last season/summer, are we going to learn anything new here? Or is it just going to be a tighter weaved doc narrated by Jeremy Schapp?

Are we going to learn anything new here? Of course not, the story has been told 4,000 times.
