Man, what a game! What an effort by the team and coaching staff. I’ve had my heart rate over 100 since the snap of the ball, and can’t seem to stop riding the high (no drugs, I swear, just coffee).
To those that were able to make it to the game tonight, you were the 12th and 13th player on the field. Even the broadcasters were feeling the atmosphere at the rent. So thank you to everyone that showed up in droves, stayed the whole game, and roared until the very end. I was not able to make the game yesterday but could feel The Rent shaking from my iPhone screen. Had I not known better, I would have swore I was watching a “big time” college football game. Well done UConn nation!
I told my wife yesterday before the game, if I had no interest in either team and had a completely objective perspective, I’d say Duke is in for a serious eye opener. And that’s exactly what happened. You could see the look of complete dismay when their offense couldnt move the ball the way they wanted in the first half, and then watching them have little hope of stopping our offense (that fourth down conversion stuck a fork in that Duke defense) and then finally watching them physically cry after the game was decided by the game-losing fumble. What a great feeling to be a Husky alum/fan at that moment! Great win tonight, let’s bask in this feeling for a bit. On to Air Force!
Side note: Anyone hear of any updates on Vereen or Honig? Honig walked off on his own but Vereen was in some serious pain.
