Duke never has easy wins in Reynold's Coliseum anytime...... and today's game is the Play4Kay game on Kay Yow court. I expected a dogfight.... well a wolf fight

NC State played a sagging zone the entire game and only came out to contest Rebecca Greenwell. On offense they lit it up from outside. They played inspired basketball today honoring Kay Yow!

That one foul against Duke on the NC State end was a flop by the NCST player, I think. The Duke guy set a screen, and the screened player drew attention to herself.

I think that changed the momentum.

I hope the writers and coaches take note of Duke's poor performances. Duke is not a #10 (writers' poll)/ #12 (coaches' poll) by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't care how weak Duke's guard play is, with Williams, Stevens, Greenwell et al. there's no way that team should lose to NCState (tallest starter 6'1 !!) - if they had a good coach. McCallie should cut her kids some slack at today's presser and throw herself under the bus. She's really awful. She must think her players are clueless because she calls plays, sets and signals to her kids nonstop, every single minute of the game. As for Duke's high ranking, they are given lots of credit for their quality opponents, but if they get their butts kicked constantly, it isn't deserved.

She has got to go. While I readily admit to a certain level of snarkiness when it comes to commentary about Coach P, anyone who understands this game knows that she cannot take her team to a higher level. Being charitable by nature, I have a recommendation for Duke. Fire the coach, and go hire the young, barely-out-of-college, and 100% inexperienced Kelly Faris as head coach. Give her a long-term contract. Then sit back and watch how the talent you recruit grows into greatness!
