Give Drummon a break. His only sin is that he's a nice kid that's had horrible coaching, or none at all. However, I am surprised at the lack of progress this year. I do think he'll be back next year and will fulfill his potential.

Apparently Drummond was seen earlier today walking around the Yum! Center wearing a hat that said "I am the greatest". Not even kidding.

Chill out dude. They went to the Muhammad Ali Center earlier in the day. It was a souvenir from there. Some of guys really need to get a grip.

everyone needs to relax!...he will be fine...stop giving up and then calling the players out for giving up...

You know what dp not sure he deserves a break....totally agree he was not coached very well anywhere prior (yeah Jere Quinn thanks for nothing there) but he's a smart kid and talented. To throw up the duds he did like this game is inexcusable.....more worried about alley oops, dunk putbacks and looking pretty rather than making plays to help the team. Lazy on D, doesn't use his frame to box, should have learned to be better at all of this by now.....simply put very disappointing....if he goes he will not leave any mark on the Husky program......

The ANDREA stuff is lame....grow the duckk up people.....say he plays soft, he doesn't play hard enoug whatever but the ANDREA crap needs to go or you should!!
In the words of the omniscient tykurez...

The Boneyard, ladies and gentlemen.

Honesty. Try it sometime. Try a response that isn't so non-committal and worthless. Then maybe we can have a real discussion. You want to defend Andrea? Go for it. Your options are limited. And don't bring up the "he will be a millionaire and you won't" garbage. Show some substance.
THANK YOU! All these self righteous posters need to cut the crap. They dont actually respond to your post or care to actually dispute you, but rather just call you out and make some wise as* comment. And then when you respond to them they wont say anything back. This game was a complete and utter joke. It was the NCAA tournament and we walked around the court with our hands on our hips for the first 15 min. All of the things weve been complaining about all year (and said posters) have been ripping us on came true!! What do ya know. We once again came out completely flat and looked flat out disinterested. Pointing this out does not make us any less of fans. At least we try to reason with the pathetic performance. Just responding acting like your better than anyone else without actually saying anything does nothing at all.

I am "chilled out". I was unaware of that. Carry on.

Lamb is the key to next year. If he comes back this team is a title contender. If he goes and Drummond stays they are a legit Elite 8 team. I'll gladly welcome both/either back but don't expect them.

Are you kidding, Prez??? HF32's post was about the 5 millionth least classy post made tonight, and this is what you pick out?

Super weird.
Thank you Nomar. I said the same thing. Not sure what I said that was so unclassy. Just said I had huge hopes for him and it sucks what a disappointment hes been. Hope your serious and not being sarcastic. Cant really tell these days on this site.

2 stupid f'ers.....32 and dpross......in case you can't read I have disputed many and agreed with many...called out some players actually......but calling Andre "Andre"?? You proud of that one? If you are I don't need to know much more about you.....Fn Jim Rome!!!!

You slammed your hands and pouted a lot as a child didn't you? And if you're going to call me out, get it right. I called him "Andrea" and stand firmly by it. Next you'll probably call me a sexist. That'd be priceless. I find it hilarious that honesty is both hard to find and so strongly frowned upon around here.

.-.
Remember, he actually considered another year of HS.

The Andrea stuff is funny and deserved IMO. Mean, yes. That too. Tough shit. Life is mean. He needs to grow a pair. And if he had JC for a whole season he would have at least a uniball by now. Nice kid. Tremendous physical gifts. No sack. Yet.

I have no idea what you are even talking about. I havent read a single one of your posts tonight, nor was I referring to you in any way. Although now that you have seen that post and immediately thought of yourself is actuallyu an admission of guilt. So touche. Thank you for owning up.

And again. You are proving me right. My post was about people responding to posts by simply calling people out and not actually disputing it in any way. Which is EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID!! Do you not get it??!!!! You say nothing at all exact act like a pompous d bag. Bring something to the table. I said Drummond was a disappointment. I had huge hopes for him and he didnt come close to living up to them. If you care to respond be my guest. But stop just quoting people and saying nothing.

Yeah, if only we had badasses like you on the court, I would already be booking my flight to New Orleans.

??? What part of anything I posted suggested that I thought I was a scholarship Div. 1 basketball player? The kid is soft and immature. Do you disagree?

He's much more raw than any of us thought he'd be but he's so young. That being said, having absolutely no fundamentals, instincts or basketball IQ at this stage is alarming. I guess you can't really blame kids in this day and age, AAU is the devil. His off-ball defense is a clone of Amare Stoudemire, which is a dreadful, dreadful thing. The basics aren't there: ball-you-man, anticipation, keeping your knees bent, etc. He's a step behind on far too many plays. Sure, you can grow and recover from it but in this day and age not many kids do. It's like it's something ingrained in each player at a young age or not. Right now he simply has no clue how to play the game of basketball. A thunderous dunk and a highlight block is the extent of his game.

At this point he's DeAndre Jordan, who was a 2nd round pick a few years back. An NBA team has to be very brave to take him in the Top 5 even with a weak draft class.

I think Drummond has tremendous physical skills but doesn't possess tremendous basketball skills, just yet.

He's an 18 year old trying to learn better basketball skills and he had his freshman season interrupted when Calhoun missed the meat of the Big East schedule.

He's had his ups and downs and today was clearly a down. Soft though? No way. Did you see him shut down the BE leading scorer Kevin Jones in the WVU game?

Drummond had unrealistic expectations set for him and didn't reach them this year. That to me doesn't make him 'soft'. We can only hope we get 1 more year out of him.

Deandre Jordan still does nothing besides catch alleyoops and block shots and he got offered a 4 year 43 million dollar contract at age 23 that was instantly matched by the clips

Not sure if this game has any affect on his draft status. He clearly needs another year in college. I just can't see him coming back.

I didn't mean the comparison as a knock. If Jordan was the 2nd overall pick though he would be looked at as a bust, that was my point. Still pissed the Knicks passed on him, but I guess it worked out with Chandler eventually.

I didn't mean just this one game but the entire season. He'll go high based on his physical gifts, no doubt. I just don't see him being any different than Jordan as a player.

An NBA team will roll that dice that he's the next Amare.

Right now he looks like the next Kwame Brown.

A reasonable middle ground? Maybe Andrew Bynum? I think that's probably a good comparison.

Of course I saw the WVU game. He played well for ten minutes after being told he would be benched if he didn't. I agree that he needed a lot more of that. The expectations were not unrealistic or placed upon him solely by others. I've said several times, as has anyone who has watched him, that he has freakish physical abilities. But he is lacking skills, maturity and toughness. And he talks out his ass too much. Kids do that. I hope we get the chance to see him grow at UConn, but I fear we won't.

Can you imagine him going up against Dwight Howard i cant he needs to stay
