Didn't read the fine print at first.
"He will not play football at Notre Dame this spring and plans to graduate in May"
"He’ll then join a new program to play college football in June"

Smart to get the degree at ND and then still play football. With 3 years of eligibility!

Rutgers or Boston College would be my guess.

I'm shocked the ND academic side is playing that nice

edit: what the hell am I saying... of course they are, he's still an athlete and if he goes on to be something big in business they'd be glad to pimp his name out. They'll accepted all kinds of credits.

lol the kid would rather quit football than play here. Awesome.

was 20 and 21 "free" years? I get maybe one redshirt in there... this is madness
Drew Pyne, Class of 2020

2024 - (3 Play Years of Eligibility remaining)
2023 - 2 Games, Medical Redshirt (leg muscle injury)
2022 - 11 Games, Play Year 1
2021 - 2 Games, Redshirt
2020 - 4 Games, Covid Year

I've coached in lower Fairfield County for decades. New Canaan kids dont apply to state schools.
UConn is beneath them. Pyne's dad WILL NOT allow him to play for UConn.
Who wants to bet a beer?
I know blooz but couldn’t NIL change that, especially for an in state star? Two or three years at UConn could make him some bucks.

Fairfield is its own state …of mind…their crap doesn’t stink.

Three years remaining?!?!? He could conceivably play for two more schools after Mazzou.

If I could make a million dollars a year playing college football, I might have stayed in college to age 28 while I figured out what to do afterward.

Ah yes, the great economic stimulus - the B1G and SEC and their back up QBs!
