It's not misery. I'd prefer Edgecombe actually. We can really use help at SG next year. Dan made some interesting choices this cycle. Hoping all three become Huskies, but I'm not counting on it.

Gonna be honest man, you shouldn't be posted here if you're upset about being called a dingus. I'm not invested in either of these kid's recruitments, but the 'yard ain't for you if you can't take a lil' heat.

I'm pretty sure @superjohn and I have threatened to kill each others families at some point and I DM the guy a couple times a week anyways.

I cannot stress enough that unless the information came from Flagg's family or one of the coaches directly, it isn't worth crap. No one in Maine knows about their decision, nor do the coaches or anyone on this board. This is a TIGHT-LIPPED recruitment.

A lof of the times "insider info" is really 1) reading tea leaves or 2) if it is "insider," then it's just some team manager with a big mouth who doesn't really understand what is happening.

Flagg to Duke is likely.

Ngongba to UConn is a minority stake.

Both of these statements are true, and have been for months.

If I was really actually upset I'd just be out. I'm just living in it. I knew when I made the post there would be some push back. At the end of the day I know what I know, I hope I'm wrong, and I'm just passing the info I have along like I would hope others would do. Sorry it's not good news, it sounded last week like it was trending that way.

I also find the grandparent angle very interesting, as I was incredibly close with my grandparents and strive(d) to please them. If I had been in this type of position, they would have been incredibly happy and proud if I had selected 'their' school. However, I know they would have pushed me to ignore their feelings if they sensed I was torn. I'm quite sure that while wonderful, my grandparents are not unique in this type of love, so I suspect that Cooper's grandparents are being very careful and would be UConn superfans if he came to Storrs.

Please don't think I say this as a UConn fan hoping this benefits UConn...just that I am confident that it's something Cooper would naturally think about, but his family will keep his focus on other factors, which more likely than not ultimately leads him to Duke...the prohibitive favorite.

Yeah but the thing is you didn’t “just pass the info along”. You put a guarantee on it. And that’s why you’re wearing the dingus crown. No worries, someone in the next 12 hours will snatch the crown away.

I can see why you say that fit wise. We’re most likely losing all of our guards next year except for Solo. Could use a true 2.
 
In Tampa in ‘99 I couldn’t have been more positive it was going to happen. Today I ask myself why would someone under this spotlight and choosing between just these schools chose such a lame dad school? Lame dad school

^^^ We've got one returning guard and a freshman PG. That's it. I'm much more comfortable about Johnson + Singare than I am about our guard situation. I suppose we could also have Diarra, but still a need a SG. Biggest need we have by far.

Edit: to be clear, I was talking about Pat. Not Cooper.
Want list: Cooper, Edgecombe, Pat
Need list: Edgecombe, Pat, Cooper.
