Diamond Stone (Committed to Maryland)

The competition was somewhere between chairs and a Sunday pickup game in Torrington.

I want UConn to land him more than any other recruit on our list, but WTF is wrong with these "recruiting services". The headline is "
Diamond Stone NEW Mixtape (Goes CRAZY In Fall League)"

...gainst some guys that will be luck to play division 2 basketball.

He looks a bit skinnier, quicker, and as someone mentioned his legs look pretty skinny. But the biggest thing is who the hell is he playing against? Hideous.

This kid has to be smart enough to not to pick a school because of their clothing line, right? DHam used to be decked out in UCLA gear.

Because it was free.

He can sign with UA once he declares elgible for the draft.

In the Diamond Stone recruiting thread he was interviewed. When Maryland was brought up he kinda laughed in a "yeah right" sort of way.

The folks on the wisc board seem to think hes a UConn lean

.-.
look at his body language when he was asked about the 5 schools in that interview...i really think he answered alot of questions. First one is this package deal isnt happening(which makes me think thats why briscoe came and is gonna commit instead). Second that wisconsin is just a home team who he's just giving respect because its his home. Third its looks like a HUGE uconn lean when he was asked about KO and the program. even the guy interviewing him went "hmmmmm". i think this tell us alot folks!!!

I Bleed Blue said:
just curious where did you see this, and what was said?
Don't ask. Just roll with it.

This was posted on their board:

"Seriously, what more can Stone find out by waiting?? Maryland? Silly! UConn...nice but no better that UW and at UW the family is nearby. This gets very tiring."

Oh you Badgers! LOL. That 1941 National Championship was nice....but no better than 4 in the last 15 years.

I could see maryland being a threat . I could see us swinging and missing on both briscoe and and stone . Still like our chances with derrick jones. A jones / Adams/ enoch class is still fantastic .

He's holding off because of the pressure to say "UCONN" vs his home state U........just waiting to find the right time and words!!;)

.-.
Someone needs to photoshop a picture of Diamond in a UConn uniform and tweet him.

In actuality, everybody should have something better to do with their lives then photoshopping tank tops and shorts on a large, teenager's body.

They could photoshop him pitching a tent in UCONN shorts though; I don't see how that doesn't help.

Because if you're a 5-star recruit, you could attend Central Connecticut and still be a first round pick. And in Diamond's case, still be a top 5 pick.
Two players immediately come to mind: Vin Baker at Hartford and David Robinson at Navy. Not saying they were 5 stars in high school but they were big men lottery picks at lesser college programs. Clearly, they didn't go to those schools to win big. It's all about choosing the right school for them, and hopefully for us, that's UCONN.

.-.
It just doesn't make sense. The fact that his dad feels compelled to compare Diamond to Alex Len comes off fishy. They are completely different players. I feel like a father that involved in a recruitment would be able to see that. Seems like the line UA is feeding them to knock Jerry Meyer of the trail of BS. If this is really about coaches and getting a player better, then it should be no contest. Andre Drummond Trumps Len, and Ollie kills Turd.

The visit was announced 3 weeks ago and you were probably the one who brought it to our attention.

Wow. Lack of sleep. Thought he was heading to Oklahoma st this weekend. .:-)

.-.
Is he tripping to uconn again? Not good for us if he is not. He visited so long ago can't imagine it is a good sign if he does not make a return visit

No Duke for Stone which is no surprise:
@TheRecruitScoop: Duke is out for 2015 center Diamond Stone. He visits Maryland this weekend following an Oklahoma St visit. Wisconsin & UConn also involved.
