Bob Diaco is heading to Nebraska as DC, per multiple reports. footballscoop.com/the-scoop/

Amazing, the defense was worse than the awful offense

.-.
The Nebraska boards say $1.1 million and cite that his head coaching experience at UCONN aid an asset, and that he's "a dynamite quote machine". Oh boy are they in for a treat!

Honestly, in what world do you see a tape of this guy (speaking and game tape) and think, "yup, worth over 1M a year." I chose the wrong profession.

Diaco knows his stuff, he could've brought the red pants to either team.

But really happy for him, It's a great hire by Nebraska

.-.
I really hope there is offest language in the final buyout. Not having to pay $1.1m would be sweet

Many on huskerboard.com are disappointed with hiring Diaco. I did get a couple laughs though:

One guy said "do UCONN fans just hate people with a personality? From how they described them I expected him to be a borderline psychopath. Dude seems cool"

Haha, just wait. We all loved his presser at first, too.

And another guy said "are there any 3, 4 or 5*s he can bring along?"

Either my sarcasm monitor needs fine-tuning or they must think very highly of our class.

Nothing I have seen published... no offset language in initial contract or extension. If it exists, it would have to be in another document, but I have not seen anything by mainstream media sources that say it exists.

The recruits might be 2*'s at UCONN but will be bumped up to 4*'s @ Nebraska

He's in a great conference and he can sell ice to eskimos if they don't google his craziness at UConn.
I think he'll do really well at Nebraska

.-.
Granted Nebraska gets better recruits out the gate than UCONN, but they have to do a lot of "coaching up" as well. Not saying they never have a top 25 class but thats not their norm.
