UCONN! This is a nice first step. Not in the sense that they played well. But they won ugly. Very few assists, got crushed on the offensive glass, missed free throws and too many lay ups and the 3s were not falling. Why, last years that would be a recipe for a 20 point beating. But they played like men tonight, they worked hard and they got the win! Much love and congrats. I was not always happy last year, I admit, but they willed this one out despite less than stellar play. We could have something nice on our hands...perhaps. Still cautiously optimistic.
