Rain Man is so smooth and so confident with the ball that goes along with his tremendous scoring ability that it has to scare opponents. He could definitely play the 1 in a pinch too. How about his steal and one handed pass up the court to Ball for the assist?

The Bear was a beast as usual.

The Dog was a total dog again.

Captain America so steady

Hoping this is the last game the bench has a flat game

Tough to see a 16-20 point lead end as 12 for the kenpom people but a pretty complete performance. Really frustrated by the continued passing of the ball to Reed 15-18 feet from the basket. He doesn’t have good ball skills and trying to dribble it down low results in a turnover or forced shot every time. He needs to throw it out, re-establish down low and get the re-feed.
On the positive, much better defensive effort by Solo today. Weird seeing him but the 4th option on offense but that’s a good sign of our depth. Mullins is so active defensively, I love watching him play. Oh and go Silas. The king.

For as "bad" as the first half was with missed layups and a cold scoring stretch, we were still up 10 points while shooting 52%. The defense had a rough patch but was nearly flawless for the first 10-12 minutes. DePaul got some energy but never really was threatening. Then we ended the game early in the 2nd and rolled to an easy win!

Clear emphasis to have Tarris make decisions when he gets doubled. We forced him the ball almost every possession early and he waited for the double before looking for a shot. Led to good results to start, but bad habits crept in from time to time. Tarris' improvement at that part of his game is crucial

Another quiet game from Solo. I don't think he played poorly but the openings weren't there. He got going a bit in the second with 3 strong takes at the rim. I wonder how much is because of a mental block vs. how much is because defenses are still keyed in on him. And how much more time before defenses start shifting focus to Mullins? Pick your poison

Speaking of, special shoutout to Braylon Mullins. My expectations were high, I assumed that he'd get capped out at 10-13 PPG because of how good our starting 5 is, and he's still crushing every expectation. 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 50/40/100 shooting

Let's go Huskies!

How do we square having one of the best resumes in the country, but sitting 9th in KenPom? One spot below an Illinois team we manhandled. I have to think we’re better than metrics indicate
Look at the end of this game and then OT against Providence who dropped 97 on us. Thats why.

Solid game for about 37 minutes. Got the lead up to 22 to only end up winning by 12.

Liked seeing all of our core 9 get at least 12 minutes. Would have preferred a larger MOV...
seems odd that the "footer" to your post misses the last two championships

Silas is really good.

Props to the kid from DePaul who played in straight up glasses. What a look. I love it.

As for the worriers about the final margin, I guess Hurley probably won't go with our deep bench in our next high leverage game.
