Team should be 3-0 plain and simple. Good team win yesterday but once again offense was detrimental to the success of this team overall. If you're satisfied with 2-1 at this point in the season then I don't know what to tell you, apparently you have low expectations. I for one, know the talent on this team, first hand, and know what they are capable of producing. Sky is the limit for these players. They aren't and continually will not be able to succeed if put in the schemes being created by DeLeone. I want the kids in the program to be as successful as they possibly can be, but when Mike Foley is demoted and our OC takes over and you see the production on the line go down exponentially even from last year, it is apparent what the problem is. No soapbox needed here, just facts.

I also agree that we should be 3-0. I also believe we pissed away a win or two last year that cost the kids a trip to a bowl due to questionable calls by the coaches. I agree that our offensive play calling is well - offensive. I guess where we disagree is thinking the jumping up and down here is going to get DeLeone fired. Feel free to write HCPP, AD Manuel, and President Herbst and let them know that unless they immediately replace GD - you will not renew your season tickets if you have them or that you will spend not a dime supporting the football program. Let me know how you make out. Oh... My expectations are that we compete each and every year for the conference championship, kick an OOC conference teams sorry in a bowl and continue to have high graduation rates forthe football program.

Damn - you made me climb on the soapbox again.

Deleone's resume the past 7 years.

2005 Ole Miss- was the running game coordinator/offensive line coach. Team only averaged 2.4 yards per carry and rushed for only 800 yards the whole season.
2006 Temple- offensive coordinator/quarterbacks. Team averged 1.9 yards per carry, and only scored over 20 points twice going 1-11 overall.
2007 Temple-offensive coordinator/offensive line. Team averaged 2.7 yards per carry. And the qb's improved as deleone started focusing on ol.
2008-10 Miami dolphins TE coach.

Notice that wherever deleone has been OC, the last few years there is absolutely no running game. When he was assigned to qb at temple the team lost 11 games.

... How many of those years was he with Paqualoni?

News flash, we are not going to hire some whiz kid offensive coordinator. News flash, we can't afford it.So yes, UConn is different from the big time schools, Texas, Alabama, etc. We're not going to throw market or above market $$$ to hire somebody "hot". Why

This is like telling a little kid Santa's not going to bring him an iPad or whatever for christmas this year because it's not in the budget. I wish I could say it was going to happen, but it's better to tell them the truth. Little kids don't understand why, because they don't understand how money works. Apparently neither do some college football fans.

Wrong. We should have gotten beat by NC State. I am not raving about the O, we lost because of 5 turnovers and nothing else.

TO's are never a result of bad, predictable play calling??

It's awful period.............he needs to change his plan or he needs to go........how are those big TE's doing? Best WR's they've had in a while and nothing......predictability is tough for an offense he needs to be way more dynamic than he is........

So, we as UConn fans should just accept ineptitude from our state u? Maybe Connecticut is different from other BCS programs.

I think his point has more to do with coaches aren't being fired during the season anyway, so the discussion is irrelevant before it starts.

I have no issue with you or anyone demanding more out of coaches. But the time to discuss firing them is when the decision will actually be made. Not the same discussion week after week, especially when the discussion occurs regardless of whether we win or lose.

Sometimes they're a result of a young QB locking in on his primary target like he was a 15 year old watching Kate Upton youtube videos.

Sometimes you are correct..........no doubt he needs to look away but he's also set up for failure by really subpar play calling a lot too...........lots of things need to improve on the offensive end for the defense to be rewarded. The OLine looked a little better vs Maryland but also has a ways to go.

Still, as BL said above no one is getting fired during the season (unless you're the Badgers!) so hopefully it improves weekly somehow.
