Sorry about that, but you are wrong. Jerry Sandusky was a coach for Penn State who abused boys over a long period of time. I don't know where he is from, but it is not Sandusky, OH - home of Cedar Point.

He was making a joke(play on words).

You are correct---that whole Penn st/Sandusky BS has been hashed over and over--that was Football--this is Womens' BB.
Yet Sandusky is in Ohio. (the city by that name)

Glad to see both Boykin and Edwards playing well for their respective teams. I do think both could have contributed at UCONN, but our program was not right for them. Wish them much success, unless they face UCONN - then I hope we wipe the floor with them! :)

I don't think people saying you add depth is where you want to be.

Well that may have been the headline used by the newscaster's graphic, but CW had a number of things to compliment DJB on. And also, while she obviousy wants to be more than "depth" eventually, what can anyone realistically expect at this point from someone who has only played in a couple of college games?

This is one of the few quality summaries and timelines of the events. Unfortunately it, also, stops short of of the most recent events such as McQuarrey's winning over $7 million from PSU for the board of trustees negligent actions against him. It is, also, appears likely that the Paterno family may similarly prevail in a suit. Why? Because they, McQuarrie and Paterno fulfilled the legal actions required with notification and then disengagement from the follow up. Both were scapegoated by the trustees.

Unfortunately, there are, also, no raised in the convictions of Sandusky and at least some convictions may be over turned or set aside for retrial.
Accurate thoughts. I lived near Penn State and was amazed when Paterno first reported Sandusky to DA. After the Asst. DA in charge died in a car accident (drove car into river), also amazed DA's office dropped case. Not sure of all issues that were involved but at least when issues first came to light, Paterno did all he could do to bring Sandusky to justice.

Brianna Banks more than held her own at Penn State, adding scoring and an in-your-face defensive presence. May Boykin do as well.

What don't you get about sarcasm.
I wonder that also, sometimes, because I use it myself, probably too often. Then I realized, without using emojis or 'wink wink', for example, it's hard to see nuance in the written/printed word for some.

I still live in the greater State College area and work there. Gricar did not drive his car into the river. It was found in a parking. It wreaked of cigarette smoke although Gricar did not smoke. It was his hard drive that was found in the river.

Icebear-we were both close to the facts (you were closer). What happened to Ray Gricar? - CNN.com
One of the more interesting cases in sports that has been underreported. Unlike today when every news media would have descended on State College, Sandusky was charged with crime, fired by Paterno from his Coordinator position, the DA died in a set of very strange circumstances, and the case was never pursued. A shame that today's Penn State athletes have to carry this around. While not either defending or blaming Paterno, amazing cased of throwing one of the all time loyal college employees under the bus by Administration that seemed more focused on themselves than those harmed or anyone else.
