Welp, Dayton lost a bad one to Liberty, and St. John's lost again...this time to UK.

Can't say I'm sad for ol' Ricky losing in Rupp. Glad to see it, actually.
The game was at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Part of something called the CBS Sports Classic. North Carolina-Ohio State was the 2nd game.

I’m disappointed. It isn’t good for us. They will play us tough as nails whether they are good overall or not. We need the Big East schools to win more big OOC games.

Rupp or Atlanta, my bad. Affecting St John’s strength when we play them or not, don’t care. They can lose every game, I don’t care. I want UConn to win games I’m not worrying about St John’s ratings.

Too late for this year.

Impressive win by Houston - he'll have that team in contention by end of year.

Texas Tech with a comeback win over Duke at the Garden. Deron Rippey Jr and his family there, I guess he's going to Duke.

I didn’t watch the whole game but obviously they collapsed.

Seeing the foul they called on Duke though with 3 seconds left, and reading Sheyer’s lips, he’s right. Awful job by the refs (there’s a shock).

Not sad for Duke but objectively crappy job by the ref.

Scheyer was terrible with his TOs. Waited way too long on some runs and then Boozer just inexplicably was absent from their offense for stretches of the second half.
They had such an advantage w Boozer and didn’t exploit it at all. That’s coaching malpractice

Not sure Boozer is that much of an advantage over Toppin. Toppin is a heckuva player.

Duke's downfall will be against teams that have a great guard, and a big that can handle Boozer (like Toppin). Duke's guard play isn't all that good. Nice game by Watts too. TT basically a 3 man team.

problem is boozer (the big one) is BOTH their best scorer AND best PG. Their actual guards are limited on BOTh offense and defense, that's why libscomb had them on the ropes for a half playing 5-out, and why TT was able to make their comback when they were forced to go small.

Duke's big weakness is their guard play, and boozer can only make up for so much of it.

100%.

Duke is still very very good, but it's about the advantage of boozer vs the limited guard play.
