The CAA having a better-than-average year. Nice to see that. As a fan of the Stony Brook Seawolves is refreshing to see the CAA getting some wins against the P5

Zona smoking Alabama on the boards was predictable, Alabama seemed like they had zero interest in rebounding when they played Purdue
That was some 2nd half by Arizona.

@RuffRuff, what did you think of Burries tonight? He's averaging about 20 ppg the last 4 games.

They're not even relevant anymore. I don't think we should give them any exposure. We can play two OOC games a year in MSG, but a matchup vs Cuse would be boring
Agree.. how could anybody still feel the same hatred for cuse that they did 15 years ago? Might as well go get a Linkin Park tattoo while you're at it.

CBB has a clock operator problem, so many games being stopped due to shot clocks being stuck

22-3 advantage on offensive rebounds. DReb was about even, 30-29.

That's ridiculous. Awaka and Kirvas alone had 29 boards.

To be fair, that UConn team was one of the "worst" champions ever. It was totally reasonable to pick them to lose each game.
The team was ranked 18th before the tournament. When they played Michigan St., MSU was ranked 11th. I don't think it would've been some huge upset to take UConn there. Pretty evenly ranked.

Then they played #1 Florida. They had already beaten Florida during the season, so it wasn't unthinkable.

Finally, they played a Kentucky team in the final. That team was unranked going into the tournament, so I'm not sure why you believe they should've been picked to lose each game when the competition in the final was inferior.

Not to mention the round of 64 game.

Im still jealous of the conference realignment lifeboat that each received, but how truly bad the state of basketball is at former conference mates BC, Cuse, Pitt, and Rutgers needs to be studied. Other than Rutgers, they all had a solid program at one time or another and now all are bottom quarter P4 teams losing buy games regularly. I’m loving every second of It.

Speedy Claxton still doing Speedy Claxton things in his coaching capacity. Univ of Southern Canada fans can only wish they had him running the show instead of Red.

I'm just saying it didn't take an irrational anti-UConn bias to pick any of the opponents that year.

I watched a little of both games. UMess looked good. Sound on both ends of the court. The Syracuse/Hofstra game was very evenly played, neither side seemed to have much advantage.

So you’re saying that Cuse and Hofstra are on the same level?? Those are beautiful words.

For those saying they are going to register to post on syracusefan to talk trash, don't. Payback is a bitch, and any site getting trashed by a UConn fan brings the same trash back to the 'yard, and does nothing but create work for the mods here.

And don't post links to threads on another site here just to get people all worked up.

They were complaining about a last second missed call. It's Hofstra, they should've been up by 10.

Their out of conference schedule is abysmal. Stonington, Monmouth, Binghamton, Mercy and Northeastern just to name a few

If that's your out of conference schedule, you might as well be in the MAC.

Even if they end up in the the top half of the conference at seasons end, I find it hard to believe they get in the tournament.

That program is a shadow of its former self. Honestly I can't think of any other program that has fallen so far into irrelevance.

The way their fans talk about us, they deserve the dumpster fire they live in.

Too bad so sad

The interesting thing is. Will they continue to sacrifice basketball for football mediocrity. Or say f this and pay a good basketball coach 6 + million with Nil and go back in on basketball

They're in the ACC, they can have both. There's no excuse especially when you can tell a recruit that they will play dook UNC and Virginia.

They're not sacrificing basketball, they are mismanaging it. That's on the AD

I guess I'm in the minority, I take no pleasure in Syracuse being horrible. Many of their fans took great joy kicking dirt on UConn but so what? They have a serious inferiority complex when it comes to us because we blew past their program a long time ago and kept widening the gap but college basketball and northeast basketball is better when the Cuse is good and the Dome is rocking with 35,000 fans in there.

Things are better for UConn when we're the only team in both the Tri State and New England.
