Its a whiteout here in Fairfield, can't see my neighbor's house. Slow starter but that's all changed. They were predicted 20 inches (at 2pm) even when it looked like a dud.
No crap! News 12 CT I was shocked 12-20 he said. At the time you could go for a drive. Its bonkers now.Predicted 20 inches in Fairfield??? Wow. I'm in Glastonbury and it's coming down very heavy here. Was pretty mild until maybe 2 hours ago.
We're supposed to get 12-20 in Danbury, too. I really don't feel like going to work tomorrowNo crap! News 12 CT I was shocked 12-20 he said. At the time you could go for a drive. Its bonkers now.
I'm in Danbury and no power. Long night ahead. We're supposed to get 12-20 in Danbury, too. I really don't feel like going to work tomorrow
Sounds like my drive back after the final game of the BET that was in Syracuse. It was snowing hard when I left Syracuse and all the way down the NY Thruway. When I hit the Berkshires in Mass. I could barely see the front of the car. I thought about pulling over but I figured as soon as I stopped someone would plow into the back of me. By the time I got to Springfield it was just a light snow. When I got home to Glastonbury it was raining. I'm sure there are others here that made the same drive that day. Maybe not. we went out the first day of the tourney #PRE-CALHOUN DAYS.Yeah I'm supposed to be catching a flight in 12 hours out of JFK and that's seeming doubtful. I just had to drive through Bridgeport and Fairfield to pick something up and I have never had a sketchier driving experience. The roads are like a beautiful powdery ski slope and visibility is 10 feet with the driving sideways snow.
Where are you? Wow.Friday we had 35" and now we're supposed to get another 24" - fun times. Horrible to plow a dirt/gravel drive when the ground isn't fully frozen.
This wet snow builds up on the sat. dish. You need to knock it off Ewe.All the satellite channels are down in Westport. I can only get terrestrial channels such as abc, NBC etc. No espn

The snow is so heavy that it's probably knocking down a ton of branches near power lines. All the tree branches here are basically touching the ground. One fell on my car but it looks like the snow kept it from hitting the roof.Power just went out. Damn
Too heavy to snow blow. So I go out at 8 to shovel and heard 4 cracking limbs out there. That was scary. I am back i side praying we don't lose power. But God turned his back on Husky fans so...
We're at about a foot and half here. It was coming down two inches an hour for a while.
Branches are dropping left and right. You hear a creak, a crack and then a thud.
Power has flicked but stayed on.
