Fun Sunday and no classes Monday in Storrs11.5 here in Storrs
We fell a few inches short of the predicted 13-16" in south Pgh burbs, but it warmed my heart to see kids actually sledding down the unplowed streets, just like I did 60 years ago. And a special kudos to their parents who let them do it (assuming they knew).
How far out from Pittsburgh are they? We haven't had anything more than a dusting this month till today, and I don't recall anything but dustings in the forecasts. The Laurel Mountains got some, but that's like 90 minutes to the southeast.I have some fam outside of Pittsburgh and they got smacked pretty good - the last 2 weeks we've had 3 snow days that got school cancelled early and they were all less than expected. Nice when that happens.

I misread your post. Thought you said your Irwin folks had snow days in past 2 weeks.Today got hit pretty good, no? They're in the general area of Irwin. They sent pics of a pretty good snow fall.
No snow yet in Miami. Lol
Open the door. Hollow out a rectangular opening in the snow. Leave the top 3 to 4 inches of snow in place . Insert 2 pieces of cardboard as "shelves".Final Tally of 22” in Simsbury View attachment 116431
Find a guy driving past with a snowplow, flag him down and give him some $$. It will take him 15 min and the co he works for won't be the wiser....and you'll both be happyLooks like 19-ish in Storrs. If anyone has a functioning snowblower I can buy let me know because my dumb ass thought "meh we haven't been getting enough for it to matter any more; I have a truck" and my driveway is 100 yards long.
where in NJ? Friends in Summit said it turned to rain/sleet so not as much as expected26" -ish in N NJ
