My sis was an ER nurse. The cops would pick her up in their suv and drive her to work in a bad storm.

Once in a while, I get offered a comp room at Mohegan Sun. Before Christmas, we signed up for a free room for Sunday and Monday. I'm thinking there are worse places to be in a blizzard. If you have a Momentum card, check it out. I bet you can get a freebie, too.

I don’t know how the hospitals got it worked out Just that when weather was really bad and she couldn’t get tot the hospital as a courtesy she got a ride from the cops in a suv.

I have a family member who’s an ER attending and had the same setup. There are cops stationed in the ER, they tend to have a good relationship with the staff

I’m worried about my roof (deck) as a foot of wet snow makes me remember HCC roof collapse.

So, how’s everyone? In FF County - so far about 4-5 in and snowing like a M F. Very light powdery snow so if it stays like that less chance of damage/ power outages.

Get the ice axes ready. If this does turn into an ice event, you will want to chop at the icicles, so that don't jack the roof off of your house.

Plus you can drop the ice into your bourbon afterward

We already got ten inches here in Norwalk and the snow only started at 7 AM!

I realize it’s maybe for naught, but every few hours I’ve been creating a little tunnel from our back walkway to the top of our driveway to help w the real shoveling on Monday. At the very least, it’s fun to get outside. My wife sent a video of my in-laws in Arizona.

At least you won’t have to remove snow from the roofs of your cars. Looks like only three inches on them.
