not really , he was a second round pick. ALL second round picks have to prove their worth in summer league/ training camp. pretty standard, also if he had no chance of making the team they wouldn't have picked him at 37. toronto isn't an organization looking for quick salary dumps etc in the second round, could have easily gone international and stashed if so.

Yea, at first I figured he would have a decent shot cause he would be their only draft pick vying for a spot on the team in the fall, assuming the other guy comes over in 2+ years
