Darius Adams Decommits from UConn

And...here's the added competition.

Cordoba? Make sure it has the fine Corinthian leather!

I don't know about you guys, but this "old" thread keeps popping up top and I see the word "decommits" and freak out for a second....

The first part is just plain false as of last fall. So Adams knew at the time he committed that Mahaney wasn't a point guard (or a very good combo) and Nowell wasn't good enough for this level? He didn't and neither did Hurley. At the time Adams committed Mahaney/Nowell were thought to be equal to what Demary/Smith are today. But you don't seem to get that.

Your second point about it being a mutual decision isn't exactly correct. I'll leave it at that. Maybe Hurley will talk about it at some point but I doubt he will.
It’s a false narrative. No one knew what Nowell was, this board was salivating when he committed as our PG of the future and Mahaney was VERY highly regarded by everyone.

This thread lives?
Yep. Of course, it's got nothing to do with Darius Adams at this point. Personally, I think the board should adopt a rule that when anyone posts about a 1978 Chrysler Cordoba in a thread, the thread is declared officially over and gets locked.

Have you read the rest of this board?

We should only be allowed to post about the 1978 Chrysler Cordoba.

I hope the kid stays at Maryland for the duration now and doesn't keep chasing bigger bags of cash like Storr.

I know we are talking about a kid out of high school, but it feels like if the transfer portal doesn't change, it's the end of the Freemans, Donny Marhsalls, Giffeys and Whaleys. These guys became fan favorites for working, developing and waiting their turn and then market the ing an impact on their teams.
A co-worker asked me why I was so happy to have AK announce he's back yesterday. He understood he won 2 rings, but he's a role player. I told him he's more than a role player, but it is about loyalty and loyalty is a two way street. If a program gets a guy who will 'bleed' for their program, that guy will have a loyal fan base for life.
Alex will be here 41/2 years and Solo, Jaylin, and Jayden will be here at least 3. Danny and staff have been able to retain their most valuable assets so far.

It is a fine automobile.

My favorite part of the story about the legend of ‘fine, Corinthian leather’ is that it was actually just a leather from Newark, New Jersey that Chrysler was already using in all of their cars.

Some copyrighter in Nebraska came up with the term for the Cordoba ads and it hit in a big way. Where people remember it 50 years later, that’s a home run.

Ricardo Montalban (pre Fantasy Island) deserves some of the credit.
