Didn’t see that one coming. Obviously wasn’t a fan of the Malachi signing but UConn had to do it… maybe the Aussie is indeed ready to play. Couldn’t rely on Adams coming in and giving them 15-20 minutes, no way he was ready for that.

Didn't seem to factor heavily for 25-26....CBB now year to year so understandable that a top 30 Freshman not looking to "sit" a year.

I have no idea how Hurley is going to fill all the open scholarships. College coaches do have it rough these days.
Hurley never goes above 12 so I think we only need 3 guys which could include Alex plus a backup 4/5 and a 3rd string PG

Because Adams is a CG not just a SG and smith and Demary are going to be on the floor at the same time as well
It was thought to be Mahaney and Nowell when he committed.

Further proof that over recruiting frosh, especially fringe instant contributors like Darius, makes no sense. Lesson learned from Nowell and Abraham.

Go big (top 15) or go get kids willing to sit a year without being a cancer.

Do we make a play at Acaden?

I guess this means we can take his Jersey Boy video down.

He was the least exciting recruit of this pool so not sweating this one. Other than the time the staff put into it.

Makes total sense for kids or his caliber to go play down year one to get PT. Can’t fault it.

Maybe it’s my wishful thinking, this bodes well for Alex returning.

Acaden is ranked lower than Adams though he's probably more ready to play next season.

All good. Hurleys going to do what he needs to in order to keep UConn at an elite level. Him de committing has little impact on the outlook for the season. I still like recruiting high level high school guys, even if they won’t play much. The hope is they take the Ball/Stewart route and you retain/develop the talent over a few years. But obviously that doesn’t always happen. Still worth tying tho; they’ll replace him and be fine.
