I hate to see him leave but as he said he is doing what is best for him and his family.

I hope to see him get drafted high and make a ton of cash.

Another pro in the NBA from UCONN.

I think he could go sooner in the draft than many think. He has size, athleticism and amazing shooting touch which will only improve. Wish him nothing but the best.

He B Gone. Good luck. If he had stayed, he'd be a monster in the draft.

My guess is DD will go early 2nd round. I wish he stayed but wish him the best.

I suspect he'll fall to the second round and will almost certainly have his fill of the D-League as he works his way along...but when you win a title, you earn the right to leave and not be second-guessed.

Just get the degree...

Some GM will become enamored with his upside. My guess is DD kills the individual workouts and gets picked from 22-30.

UCONN kids get bumped up a bit in the draft for the style of play. I'd also guess that Dre will move up draft boards because of Kevin Ollie. I think if he had returned he could have been a lottery pick next season, but that money isn't guaranteed (look at the kid from Michigan who failed a drug test and now entered). Take the cash and hopefully have a nice career. I'll be rooting for him...proud of yet another Husky in the NBA!

I think he'll go first round. Given Boatright's situation, I don't think he would have left if there wasn't at least a modest amount of confidence among the coaching staff that he'd go in the top 30. Of course, that's just speculative. You might know more.

all reputable mocks have him in the first round. the best DX has him higher than napier. But I guess his stock COULD fall if he tests out overly 'weak'. His game however isn't dependent on strength ( I was proved wrong, got on him about not lifting), if he shows great driving/dribbling ability vs other prospects he could go even higher. IMO. He has great side to side quickness, and when he is on mentally, can guard the small forward slot. I'm predicting both napier and DD go higher than anybody thinks they will. Napier will impress a lot of teams when he doesn't miss a single shot in a workout.

As I said in another post if Shabazz was a Jr I would say go in the draft this year after running team to NC. But, for both Boat and Daniels - get your degree first. I happened to talk to 2 scouts in NYC and the comment one made was Daniels gets stripped. He needs to get stronger if he wants to operate down low.

I'm a bit more pessimistic. I don't know if Bazz can be anything more than a guard off the bench due to his relative lack of speed/athleticism. Daniels has the same problem, in that he's not really well suited to play either the SF or PF.

That being said I hope they're both 10 time all stars and this post gets thrown in my face for years to come.

Fair point. I have no idea how Bazz's athleticism shakes out vs. a guy like Walker. I think they are similar heights, but Kemba is a starter and puts up really good numbers. I do think Napier can work on his fitness, and while he may never be the athlete Walker is, he certainly could improve his ability to perform in the league while being stronger and in better shape...

I think Bazz is best suited to be a spark off the bench type of guy, his best nba skill is his ability to get his shot off pretty much whenever. He won't be able to get into the paint though, and it's doubtful the nba refs give him the same type of respect that he got with college refs the past couple years.

He may struggle at first, but he should bulk up and be a solid pro soon enough. Glad he will always be part of the UConn family, with a ring to prove it!

Let's see he is 6'8 or9 with the wing span of a 7 footer.
He can take it to the hoop(his last remaining piece of the puzzle.
He has a knack for getting in position for rebounds. He can block shots.

He can run the floor, and shoot from mid range or three.
anyone who passes on him will live to regret it.
This kid was made for the NBA game

LeBron thinks Bazz should be first PG selected in the draft.

For anyone on this board and others I've read saying DD might struggle because his lack of strength: Kevin Durant couldn't bench 180 lbs at the NBA predraft workouts. Hasn't seemed to hinder him.

Durant can also score like only a handful of others in history.

Hopefully Daniels can find a role and proves to have the speed/athleticism to play SF.
