Crush Colgate Game Thread

The main issue I have so far is that a thread is invisible when started by an ignored poster, even after commenting.
 
Great pass by Anderson.

Good things- Our freshman don't suck and they have nice ft shooting strokes.

Bad news- We still don't guard the 3 point shot at all, don't run much of anything in the half court.

When Alterique gets comfortable and he and Jalen get their rhythm, they're going to be a disgusting back court. Larrier looks very good. Cobb needs some work, but the way he's using his size to make room for himself is good to see. If we can get him a half way decent hook, he'll be great down low.

Vital and Gilbert playing very bad is the reason why the game is close. Need them to play better and play through Larrier

Cobb is terrible. Whaley should be the starter with Mamadou and Carlton first bigs off the bench.

PS: Kentucky down 34 to 25 to Utah Valley St for some schadenfreude
 
The sad thing is that I feel like we’re playing “well” and still gonna lose.

No single missing player, including JA, should have such an impact against ' Colgate. Let's hope we don't have a second half funk as so often last season. Jeez.

Bro Cobb has more rebounds than the rest of the bigs combined...and you want someone who weighs 190 lbs to start at center? You've gotta be kidding me.

Well that was a gritty first 1/2. Not a bad start for a very young team. UConn is going to have to be grit grinders this year and really try to out work teams to make up for their lack of talent. Need to keep working in the 2nd 1/2.

Did you know there's a menu bar at the top of this page that has the word "Chat" towards the left - if you click it, it takes you to the chat.

That's what I thought as well. He has had a few bad plays but he has some plus skills that will translate versus higher comp. He had 1 more crushing screen than I remember all last season.

No sheotsky. BUT, no one on it (unless chat has become unpopular / gone to zero), AND I can't seem to access it via chat bar at bottom. Secret code??

Even his activity trying to work himself open on possessions where he doesn't get the ball is something I haven't seen in awhile. It's a revelation having a big to be excited about.
