Which rotations? I'm curious what better analysts than me think...

The Silas-Solo-Braylon-AK-TR starting lineup.

It's too duplicative and you end up with three guys waiting around for Silas to get them the ball for a three. And when you have a very high volume shooter like Solo who really does not add much if he's not scoring, the lineup does not work that well.

I've wanted them to break that lineup up with Reed or Stewart. You add a bigger body on defense and for rebounding and he's not going to sit and wait on his shot. E.g. We looked our best in the second half when we started with Reed in for Solo. Once Solo came back, he immediately front rimmed a long three and the Creighton run began.

Ball is really a liability for us when he can't hit shots. Karaban to some extent too. I would like to see Demary looking for his scoring more. He defers too much and ends up making some bad passes. Our defense has been awful and we have no rim protector now. Maybe we need to play zone. Good game from Ross. He should of played more in the 2nd half. I think we were overrated as a top 10 seed. I think we are somewhere in the 15-20 range. We just don't have enough good defense and consistent scoring can be an issues to be a top team this year. I think if we can get to Elite 8 that would be goal met. Also, when we were behind there was no urgency from Demary to push the ball. That is unacceptable. We need to learn to get out of our fixed offense at times. It is becoming too easy to play us with our sets on the permeter.

We came out the beginning of the second half playing desperate and jumped out to a 7 point lead and Ball was on the bench. Ball comes in cold and immediately jacks up two bad shots. He's playing to pad his stats and not as a team player. Don't tell me other players don't know that. There is definitely something off chemistry wise with this team

Reibe and his camp have to be furious about how Hurley has continued to divy up minutes when it’s clear Reed doesn’t play with the intensity needed and is a black hole on offense. Reibe goes 100% and the team is better with him than with Reed

Believe it or not, the best thing to happen to this team will be this loss. Less of a target, more playing uphill. I'm not trying to sugar coat it. I think they'd start playing better if they weren't waiting to fall off that tight rope theyve been walking.

(P.S. this season has been like 5 years long with a twilight zone feel to it)
This also could finally be the release of finally losing games that we played to lose. Could be a rough next 2 weeks since we’ve figured out to square the outcome with the performance.

What happened? Stuck at work and baffled at the score board… why is every game a struggle now? Does anyone know?

I, for one, wish coaches start looking at lineup changes. It’s simply not working for many games now.

Not shocked. We've been waiting for this to happen for the entirety of the conference season and now it has.

We're really not very good.

But worse, we're not very good by design. Our best rotations are rotations that we avoid because we feel some kind of obligation to certain players.

Anyway, that's the one seed done.
That lineup to start the second half did pretty well. Not sure why we changed it 4 minutes in.

March 8, 2014.
Louisville 81 UConn 48.
Lost the last regular season game.

March 15, 2014
Louisville 71 UConn 61.
Lost the AAC tournament game.

April 7,2014
UConn 60 Kentucky 54
National Champions

Trying to provide some perspective here because I remember reading these same kind of quotes after the losses in 2014.

I always have to preface this with saying I love AK but Hurley uses him as a crutch and the fawning over him by coach and the media has never come close to what he actually is as a player. He's talked about like he's Bill Walton when in reality he was the 6th and 5th best player on the championship teams and he's the 4th best player on this team.

I don't want to hear he's playing on a bad leg excuse, if he's hurt and can't contribute then don't play him. AK has been ghosting and taking halves off for many of our games as a 4 year + player/leader.
