And yet if the refs have working eyesight we're (likely) going to OT. Not gonna say it's pretty, but despite that we were in position to win the game if it weren't for the refs
It didn't help and it was a foul that should have been called but we still played awful.

Jstew and Diarra were bright spots Defense still needs lots of work. Let a guy get hot who doesnt normal kill teams. These offensive droughts are killer can't go down 8-10 multiple times a game and hope to win. Also can't miss multiple shots close up.

I'm just going to point out some positives, because the negatives were covered.

Stewart is making himself out to be a legit 6th-man wing.

We wondered if Solo's 45%+ shooting was going to be an early season anomaly. It was not.

Samson is really getting comfortable in his role on offense. Finally passing the ball well.

The announcers said at end of the game “this is the benefit of not fouling” at the end of the game for Creighton.

I was yelling at the TV “No this is the benefit of not getting called for fouls for the entire game.”

Somehow, during the loose balls, they can WWF on our players with no fouls being called, but when we reach to grab a ball, it’s suddenly a foul.

Hate to say it, but karaban did kind of hurt us today… those three or four miss lay ups and miss defensive assignments came back to bite us from the end. And that last shot was just not good enough.

It was a very high-level basketball game and Creighton was playing out of their minds, so it is what it is.

Once again, I love the way that Stewart played and Hassan a true champion. Johnson got called for some Phantom fall, but he played well.

Mahaney just has to be so much better than he is right now, if we want to compete at the highest level levels.

We just saw an 80% FT shooter brick to not even force OT a week ago, can't just assume 3 straight FTs in a pressure situation. Yea it was a shooting foul but if AK doesn't blow damn near all of his shots in the paint then they're probably up in this game.

James Breeding strikes again.

Obviously Creighton played well enough to win this one on their own (combined with us out of sorts… we need Liam back by 2/1 -no doubt about it) but that awful call leaves a bad mark on this game for all involved.

Alex has got to step up in spots like this. I appreciated the toughness in the second half but he’s not a complementary piece anymore. He’s got to be the guy that steps up and converts those layups or makes a triple.

Wish we had figured out earlier that the little 8-10 foot floaters and pull-ups were wide open with how deep Kalk plays that drop coverage. Those were big makes for Solo and Alex down the stretch in the ill-fated final comeback effort.

Yea but you let the players decide the game. Hass was fouled CLEARLY while shooting.

AK has to give them more, bottom line. They win this game if he even has a decent game and doesn't brick everything at the rim.
So inconsistent . He will play great next game and brick everything the following game. Rinse repeat

McDermott is excellent, he ate Danny's lunch again. Talent wise there's no way Creighton should've done that to us at UConn. Under two minutes left Hurley calls timeout and I'm begging for him to draw up an elbow jumper for Solo and once again Hurley draws it up for AK to crash down the lane and throw up a floater. It's maddening at this point, AK isn't that guy and that's not his game. Stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

If you slow down Kalk and Ashworth enough like that Creighton isn't supposed to have a prayer of winning a game like that on the road. He spread us out and went to Neal on iso's and he killed us.

Hass was incredible and he's our best all-around player with McNeeley out. He did everything to try and will us to a win but it was only Jaylin helping him out on a lot of set ups from Hass until Solo helped out late. Can't win with just Hass as Batman and Jaylin as Robin with nothing from AK and Reed. I'm really disappointed with Reed no longer being a part of our offense.

I'm sad for Hass, that was an all-time effort and performance and then the refs criminally screwed him out of 3 ft's to tie the game at the end. I'm so sick and tired of the way the refs treat us, we're the back to back champs. If refs treated Kansas and Kentucky like this the fans would be showing up at the conference headquarters and at their houses.

Jaylin and Solo showed a lot of really good things on offense and Jaylin's Odell Beckham impression was incredible, still don't know how he did that. It will help us a lot when McNeeley comes back but man do we need him back.

That's why I said likely, obviously it's not a given. But that doesn't excuse the refs completely blowing an easy call in the biggest moment of the game

When you’re all American scores eight points, you’re not going to win. Stop blaming the refs and the league. We are basically in survivor mode until Liam comes back.
This. Simple as that. Can afford maybe 1 more loss sans Liam otherwise it’s bubble time.

Worst loss of the year. This one is going to really hurt with ranking & seeding. Losing at home as a favorite to a BE rival.

Bottom line is this team is really struggling executing down the stretch on both ends of the floor. Half-court offense is just too stagnant & inefficient. Teams are feasting on us at the foul line.... again! We only got 5 FTs all game at home?!? This felt like we gave this game away - with bad fouls on both ends in the last 2 minutes.

Diarra took a really, really bad shot when we finally go the lead - and that killed all momentum. Solo is the only guy you can count on consistently that comes up clutch. AK - just too inconsistent from game to game. A really bad game today.

What happened to Reed today - why is he not getting more minutes?!? Nice game from Stewart - he is starting to figure out.

McNeeley cant come back soon enough - this offense really needs his firepower! The team has heart & continues to fight, and McNeeley should hopefully right the ship on offense!

I still see this team as 3 to 5 seed come Tourney time (assuming everyone healthy).
