Craig Austrie sighting

seriously. He as there from 05-06 through 08/09 right. Is UConn giving out Final 4 rings?

Seriously, Austrie was here after '04 right? So either I've got my years wrong or Craig just didn't have the heart to get into a conversation with a guy about the fact that he was here in the period between rings 2 and 3
I mean maybe a regular season BE ring for 09? think that was always the puzzling stretch we didn't win a BET game.

.-.
.-.
Craig can share a safe deposit box with Barkley and Marino to keep those rings safe.

Was at this game as well. Truly was insane.

If I recall, didn't Adrien turn the ball over right before USF scored by stepping on the baseline while inbouding? Which caused the need for the Austrie drive? Bonkers.

Someone ruined Craig Austrie's month....

Can only imagine if that smile was rage wanting to kick your ass!!

Keep it comin'. Can I use Rash Jones as an excuse,? Aww....nvm

Guy was completely outclassed in that final four game that ucon somehow lost to that clearly inferior mich st squad.

That game and the George mason game are the ones I'll never get over.

That George Mason game,I sill wonder if the ref made it to his car safely.

It was literally 50k msu fans along with another 20k (unc/ nova fans) rooting against UConn. Thabeet got in early foul trouble that caused them to play by behind. Kemba then a had a crucial brain fart towards the end of game, when UConn was in the midst of coming back) which was the dagger.

Losing Dyson that year lost them the championship

Agreed. Wort part was he could've come back too. But he chose the option that wouldn't let him.

I'm happy I didn't get to see it (had a double header), but the fact that they didn't win by 30 was embarrassing. A team with 0 nba minutes against that team. And getting dominated inside....ugh.

The loss is inexcusable, but hell, they should have lost to Washington and almost lost to Albany. That was a seriously flawed team. If Price didn't get hurt, I think that would have been a cakewalk to a championship but that is life.

yeah the washington game was intense.

I remember watching that from my dorm room.

Brandon Roy was such a freaking stud.

That team had everything a title team should have. It rivals 1999 Duke for most talented team that never won a title (damn both those teams were absurdly loaded).

Me too man. Watching that game in college with my buddies is an amazing memory. The team had everything a title team should have, except for a 2nd high level ball handler.

Without all the drama of Price's time at UConn mostly not his fault and a little his own doing I feel we would for sure have another title and an outside chance at 2.
