I don't think so. I would love to win the BET again. But I don't see how a guy a week out of surgery can go five days without a single day of rest. I think that's asking a little to much. The ups and downs, the rush of adrenaline, the involuntary responses to bad calls, the energy it takes to coach just one game is going to take a lot out of JC. Five in five, I just don't think it is possible. I think it three or four would put him back in the hospital.

He was quoted as saying "I'd love to have the opportunity (to coach 3 in a row)" or something along those lines.

Ultimately it's probably going to be up to some doctors ... if he gets to the 4th day you know there's no way that old bastard is going to want to watch from the cocktail lounge of the team hotel.

Yeah he could, but will the team let him? He'll probably have to sacrifice golf this spring and possibly summer.

I'd love to find out. And my money is squarely on "yes."

Maybe. Maybe not.

May the lord above see fit to having this still be a concern at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

Keep in mind the extra rest the afternoon teams get when the schedule shifts over to night games Friday. I agree that it's way too early to worry about that, but it's a nice positive to remember.

Do any of you actually think Coach would miss a semifinal or championship game? If he can walk, he will coach.

The man finished a bike-a-thon with (I believe it was) four broken ribs. He'll be on the sidelines for every one of our BET games this week.

I doubt walking is the defining criteria - if he can breath and drop some fbombs, he will coach if they have to roll him out there.

I think he'll get a lot of rest in his hotel room and rested well enough to be on the sideline for 2+ hours. It's not like he's running up and down the floor. I realize that recovering from surgery is not simply matter, but I think he'll be fine. He's one tough SOB.

Classic "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it" post. Hopefully the boys can handle WVU tomorrow.

He'd have an easier time coaching five games in fives days than most of you sad sacks would have watching them.

He's wearing that piece of spine on a chain around his neck.

Is it easier to watch games when you're 6'6, 250?

Everything is easier when you're 6'6", 250.

Except buying pants.

If UConn is playing at the Garden I feel confident in saying that JC will be coaching them. There is no doubt that it would take a lot out of him but I think he's stubborn enough to do it.

He had a nice one for Boat today. "Are you going to cover that F.....g guy?"

Give him an IV drip, a sponge bath and then put him out there for three hours each day. Yeah, he could do that.
