Boom! Not only does Cory’s game remind me of Tony Robertson’s, but he bears an uncanny resemblance to TRob In the Team Final footage in this announcement video.

Man, is this kid poised. What a wonderful addition.
He was in a pretty epic 5-game slump until these two dunks in back to back possessions in a close game snapped him out of it in a big way.Was sitting baseline for this one too. Remember that one handed dunk like it was yesterday.
As the 20th C philosopher Mike Tyson said, "Everyone has a plan til they get punched in the mouf".It's great having a staff that has a plan. It's even better when they have a good plan that's working.
He reminds me a lot of the 2 elite guards Hurley had at URI; Terrell and Mathews. So CFloyd like a 4 star ⭐️ Badams ?
Identifying realistic targets that can play seems like a crap shoot. But yet we have guys now and guys coming in.Recruiting can get unseemly and Hurley knows how to find and keep his man.
That’s huge, having rock solid relationships with coaches like that. Very impressive quote.![]()
Corey Floyd Jr. commits to play for UConn men
UConn received some good news on the recruiting front on Thursday night. Corey Floyd, Jr., a four star guard out of Roselle Catholic High School in New Jersey, committed to the Huskies on his 17th bir...www.theday.com
From Team Final coach James Johns:
"Relationships go a long way in where you send your kids because you want to be able to trust that people are going to take care of him," Johns said. "There's a level of trust there with coach Hurley. If they offer a kid, and if it's a fit, I'm going to do anything I can to make sure coach Hurley gets him. I just trust him."

And, most importantly, when they execute on that plan. Our last coach proved that hope, in fact, is not a plan. It's great having a staff that has a plan. It's even better when they have a good plan that's working.
We're gonna have a fullroster of guys who want to tear people's faces off. Practices are going to be insaneOne of the first times Dan Hurley saw Corey Floyd Jr. play, the UConn coach asked Floyd’s grassroots coach, “Does he want to tear somebody’s face off?
Just hopin' he isn't Kelvin Torbert from Mich St or Paul Harris from SUcks.
I do worry about highly ranked man child shooting guards or combo guards. They have a tendency to peak early and not develop skills needed to succeed at next level.
Who was our last player to wear #14? Karl Hobbs?

Kelly was the strangest player. He showed nothing during his time with us he looked uncoordinated at times, had terrible hands, couldn’t score then he transfers to Kansas state and looked like a totally different player, averaging 12 and 6 for a top 10 team.Curtis Kelly wore #14 before he transferred.
Yeah... I have a feeling Corey will get more minutes in a game than those two got during their whole UConn careerIf I told you the last 2 players to wear #14 were Kassoum Yawke and Rakim Lubin would you believe me?
This is arguably more exciting than pizza or sandwiches. And that's saying something around here, imo.
