Reviving this - pulled up the upcoming MBB schedule and a lot of games will be on FS1, which I don’t think I can watch without getting the channel on cable. I’m guessing I may need to watch on trial on my computer - while I’m “working”.

Let me know if I missed any better methods of watching these games!

Once the BE season gets going most will be on broadcast (Fox, NBC) but it depends on which area you are in as other teams will be shown in 'your' region if you are far from CT. Otherwise going to a handful of games alleviates the streaming concerns.

YouTube TV is about to raise prices next month. Up to 83 bucks per month. What’s the best option now?

Unfortunately the all do it. I think basic Hulu Live is like $82 now but was $60 when I first subscribed. Hulu Live with Disney and ESPN+ is $95. I’d still never go back to regular cable…

I did a quick count.... starting with Zaga this Saturday looks like 12 out of 21 games are on network (CBS, fox, nbc).

All of the various streaming services are around $80/no now. Sling is a bit cheaper but no CBS or CBSSN so that's not good.

)
Spectrum tv choice is 15 cable channels plus your locals $30. Can change one of your channels every 30 days!

Loved Hulu Live but wanted MLB network (which they didn’t have at the time), so switched to DirecTV Stream which has everything and more. Now Hulu Live has MLB Network, but I don’t mind the extra $25/month I’m paying to get the RSN being a big Knicks/Mets fan.

YouTube has unlimited taping so for streaming that’s useful. Come into a game 30 minutes late and skip the commercials and halftime.

I have Hulu Live TV and it gets FS1 so I haven’t missed a game even living in PA. Hulu Live also has a bundle with ESPN+ for like $100/month. I can watch Husky football, hockey or whatever.
It also has SNY for UConn Women’s BB

Youtube TV for me. Have everything besides SNY for the women

I had HULU a couple of years ago for maybe two weeks. Not nearly as good for live sports. Maybe something changed by now

Used to be a site where you can compare your options side by side by side

Got that email too, suddenly cable doesn’t seem so bad.
Just cable with comcast is $132 for me. Youtube TV is still cheaper and I can share the cost with others. We can share accounts with friends or family members.

Yeah, but then you have the other streaming service like Netflix, Prime, etc. Fortunately, I only need broadcast for UConn BB so I just activate YT for the season and then shut it off. It is nice that YT retains my library over the “break” and lets me record every NCAA game.

Yeah another benefit with streaming over Cable is you can stop it whenever you want and not be stuck in a contract. Also, no startup costs with streaming. Even when trying to do self install Comcast wanted to charge me $40 as it is based on address(Doesn't make any sense to me as I can pick up the kit at the store.)

I use Hulu Live with gonetspeed. I believe Gonetspeed offers some sort of discount with Directtv streaming if paired.

Not anymore. YTTV dropped SNY a while ago.
YTTV is not the Fox Sports app. The Fox Sports app is the Fox Sports app. You need to add it to your smart TV menu which was easy enough to do on Roku. Yes, it's still another streamer, but it's free.

...but the FoxSports app won't get you SNY. I'm guessing it might get you out of area RSN games, and you don't live in SNY territory, but that doesn't apply to most in-state CT people.

You're guessing, you say. All I'm saying is that I watched SNY WBB games on the Fox Sports App. This season. Are you trying to tell me I didn't? I mean, you've argued similarly before.

No, it's just that you "getting SNY" won't work for most people here.

If you're watching SNY UConn games on Fox Sports app with YTTV, it means:
1) You live outside of CT or
2) You pay for another TV service which gives you SNY or
3) It's in error (i.e. SNY never plugged a hole when YTTV dropped them)
