Games like this make me wonder how BM works in.
NO REAL CONSENSUS:
Starting small ...
Actually for me watching the inconsistency ...
Won’t be hard...

Mullins injury at some point will harm, but it is smart to be cautious bringing him back. I think of Stephon Castle as a freshman and how it paid dividends to bring him back slowly from an early season injury. At least we know what we’re getting with Ball/Karban/Reed. Wish I felt more confident going into BYU, but it’ll be a great game.
Good point, he has been so unselfish and effective helping other guys be successful. And don't forget. Demary had 9 assists
I go back and forth with Reed or Mullins being our most talented player. There was a top 25 that had Mullins at #12 and no Reed. I thought that was ridiculous not for where Mullins was rated but due to Reed’s abscence. In today’s game it’s tough for a 6-10 center to project without an established outside shot.Starting small forward. He's our most talented player.
I get that, but it is also true that historically our better teams do win these games by 30-40+ points.Might just be me, but I don't particularly care if a team struggles to stay locked in up 30-40 points in the 2nd half. Don't think it's really predictive of anything
Ball has developed from a streaky shooter into a guy who is consistently one of our top 3 players. He seems coachable and improves at things like taking the ball to the basket.Hearing Solo speak at the post-game presser, he sounds like a future hoops coach somewhere.
I agree. You like to beat teams with skill, speed/athleticism, and strength. Reed is definitely our strength guy and has post skills. This is not exactly a hot take but they're so much better when Reed is on the floor. He's going to have to play at least 30-32 minutes in the close games against better competition. I hope he's ready for that and can stay out of foul trouble.
Stewart has to do more, especially with key players out. He is being handed so many opportunities but he's not contributing.
He should be getting all the physicality he can handle from Tarris in practice, no?He’s struggling with the physicality that low major and Ivy League teams can offer. It’s only getting tougher from here. Gotta hope these games are just what he needs to adjust by conference play.
Even more true for an NBA prospect but at the college level Reed brings stability that is hard to match. He changes our posture on both ends providing options few bigs in college process. His court time is the key.I go back and forth with Reed or Mullins being our most talented player. There was a top 25 that had Mullins at #12 and no Reed. We dont want Reed to get run down towards the end of the year. The post season is what matters. This is not exactly a hot take but they're so much better when Reed is on the floor. Other than the big 3, I thought Silas played great. Have to admit, I'm a little worried about Malachi dribbling too much and fruitless jumping into the trees. Did that a couple times in the final minutes.
Until you draw Florida in the second round for your early season struggles. We dont want Reed to get run down towards the end of the year. The post season is what matters.
You'd think they'd learn from calling Newton "a whiff in the portal". Ah, who am I kidding? The chat room was full of fans slicing their wrists. And wanting Eric Reibe slingshotted toward the sun.
But it's sooooo true. Just having his presence on the floor changes the defensive strategy and opens everything up. Reibe could well become an excellent player, but teams know they don't really need to worry about him just yet. Regarding the minutes, this should not be the "split" 5 scenario we've sorta had the last few years. We need Tarris for 30 minutes a game and have Reibe/Koroma/AK pick up the others. Tarris has more skill, athleticism, and potential than Adama (not saying that he's better than him...), and he should get the same amount of touches and attention. This is not exactly a hot take but they're so much better when Reed is on the floor. You really think Dan Hurley, along with Luke Murray and Kimani, aren't designing plays and are out spending too much time on a book tour? Really?Hurley has to do more, too. Like, designing plays for him. I think the book tour was not good.
😮 😯 😲
A crappy half matters when you are at the game and can't get into it because it's so freakin choppy.I know dan cares but it doesnt bother me having blah halves in these type of games. Ive seen how good they can be.
I couldn't disagree more, every one of those losers deserves to be shamed endlesslyPeople talk ish in the chat room. It's a dingy basement with a pony keg and a bong where the hot takes flow like wine. Please don't ruin it by bringing those hot takes upstairs into the light. Let the chat stay where it belongs in the chat room.
