You know who also isn't making the playoff anytime soon? CSUNo way an undefeated UCONN with our SoS makes the playoff. Ain’t happening. We would be in back of 3 & 4 loss P4 teams.

This ^^ I am surprised people do not realize that we have no chance in our current situation - even going 12-0. With no conference we can only get in if we are ranked in the top 7 of the remaining non conference champion teams. As @Rich notes, there will be several P4 teams that would be ranked higher when you compare their schedule vs ours.No way an undefeated UCONN with our SoS makes the playoff. Ain’t happening. Still have a realistic shot. If Mora really cared for having a chance at the CFP then Colorado State has a better chance than independent UConn. You know who also isn't making the playoff anytime soon? CSU
ok sure Jim.“I’m doing this,” Mora texted. “There’s a path to the College Football Playoff here.”
LMAO. This article genuinely pissed me off so much.
But its not the college atmosphere that matters in CT its the convenience of being able to get on and off 84 quickly
It wasn’t enough that Millen sent us a son to play QB who would have had to be taken out for 3rd and longs at the middle school level because he couldn’t throw the damn ball?F Hugh Millen.
Mora coached at UCLA, where the commute to home football games is worse than Storrs to East Hartford.6 times a year. Big deal. And many Boneyarders may not care, but the coaches, students and players hate the off campus stadium. Mora mentioned it to his friend Millen. It adds to the perception of the program as a not-serious one

I have a gut feeling on this too. I really don’t care that he left. I just want to choose the right coach now. Mora is a good face of a program but he is not a great football coach. We can be better off if the right hire is made. I can’t help but feel a pull to Cahill. The more I look into him, the more I like the idea.I'm pretty sure we will get the last laugh given Mora's history. UConn is the only place he was ever a success.
Saw an article he was interested in the Oregon State job. They hired some position coach instead. I would take him in a nano second.Chryst would be a home-run. Badgers would probably send Fickell to Uconn to get back Chryst
My concern with Chryst is that he ran Wisconsin as a development program and didn't heavily pursue transfers. Mora, with his NFL background, embraced the portal.Searched Paul Chryst and saw a couple of articles mentioning him as a possibility for the Oregon State job, but they've already hired someone else. Not sure if he's linked to any other openings, but that seems like a solid idea to me.
It's a new age. Every school has some kind of GM/Portal guru. Obviously this needs to be vetted by Benedict. Im sure Fickell was/is better in the portal. How is that working out? Guy sent Skyler our way.My concern with Chryst is that he ran Wisconsin as a development program and didn't heavily pursue transfers. Mora, with his NFL background, embraced the portal.
The article is a damn joke and an insult to UConn with lots of misinformation.I'm pretty sure we will get the last laugh given Mora's history. UConn is the only place he was ever a success.
Actually, this is what Flipside posted ...Flipside posted on the basketball board a picture with these guys who were at the Florida meetup. Not sure how much money they have.

He got out of a 9 win program near its peak and took over a 2 win program.Listening to Saban, that was reassuring to me because I was like “say what!” And so was he!
With a day to reflect, I truly think this was truly a bad move for Mora. Seriously the whole country had just started taking about UConn football.
He got out of a 9 win program near its peak and took over a 2 win program.
If he didn't leave now and we went 5-7 next year he'd be stuck in Storrs -- where he apparently didn't want to be -- for who knows how long.
Some folks were ready to build statues of him here and they'll be wiling to do the same at Colorado State if he can right the ship.
